🇪🇸 Fernando Torres

I'm so sorry. Please forgive me for forgetting how much more important Torres corner was than Drogba's goal, or Cech's penalty save, or Ramires' chip against Barca, or Cole's clearance against Napoli. I apologize. I'm an idiot. Torres singlehandedly won us the CL I don't know how I could have forgotten that.

Dude chill - we are all agreeing on the same thing...

Torres played his part as did the rest of the lads :)

Torres is inconsistent and my personal preference for him (as a person) is a swap deal with Atletico for Falcao...

Nobody is saying Torres is bigger than CFC, merely stating like every other CFC warrior that night, they deserve some credit :)

Credit where credits due - as they say! :)

Torres is goodluck even without goals..hehehehe I'd like to see torres and danny play in a 4-4-2 but obviously danny is too selfish. Danny will get more than enough chances I bet torres had to do same to break into athletico to bcome a star at 17. If torres isn't playing so well and we won the champions league and remain top of the league ill take it anyday over an assumed and untested prolific sturridge. As a chelsea fan I don't need no messi(torres in our case) scoring 80+ goals only to win copa del rey(carling cup in our case). Football is a team sport and yes this isn't play station and from what I know you don't get to b top of Epl just by Luck(except when sir Alex and refs. Combine for Manu) it shows something is in order at least. We jst have to wait and see its too early to b sacarstic.

Torres has been un Chelsea for soon 2 full seasons and the best we can praise him with is that he won a corner???? Wow, thats just sad. Soooooooo sad. I cant really describe with words how sad that is.

I don't like Torres, but it was worth the 50m.

His CL contributition has most definitely been worth it - the goal at Camp Nou and winning the corner in Munich.

as well the assist to kalou at benfica

but all the positive aside he does need to be much better and if not dropped to give sturridge a shot at leading the line

we still havent found our best formation..

yesterday with mata and marin absent, we have still yet to a see a full force squad... would love to see danny and torres up top with mata and hazard drifting around making plays around them...

players are allowed to have bad games, im fine with that, we are still atop the table... lets go el nino...

its still early in the season and we came away from a poor game with a point... who cares, bring on juve...

ive been thinking, i think torres has scored all but ONE of his goals in the home shirt... with the one being barca away...

so you can blame him for not scoring yesterday, he wasnt in blue, he is a true blue  :eyebrows: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

we should just play in our home shirt form now on... easy hahahahahaha!

ok, im having fun... but it was a weird stat i thought of

A second before Cole hoofed it up to Torres at the Nou Camp, Bosingwa off all people made a interception that prevented two Barca players going one on one against Cech.

Had Bosingwa not made that interception Torres would have cost us by losing the ball 25 yards from his own goal and Robbie would be lambusted to this day for taking Didier off.

Luckily Torres made up for it in the ultimate fashion.

oh the small margins of football.

Stop standing up for him Beirut it's really annoying because what he did was so clear. We have basically signed a squad full of playmakers to help this guy score and to play well but he seems to think it will come to him on a plate without him working hard. He keeps running into 3 defenders and loses the ball constantly, he then walks around the pitch not even bothering to close the space. The guy doesn't get involved in the game and that is hard to take for a club that has had Drogba for the last 8 years (probably only Tevez compares with Drogba when it comes to getting involved in the game as a striker) you must understand. No Chelsea striker has ever had as much support as Torres has when it comes to the bleeding management not signing a striker because they know he'll pooh his pants at any sign of competition. The supporters have given him support constantly since he arrived and the players around him are working like dogs to put it on a plate for him but what can you do when you have a striker that isn't moving off the ball and breaking his neck to get on the end of things ?

Okay look, great post your 100% spot on.

He's had absolute support from us since he arrived and currently has all the support he needs on the pitch.

He has no excuse to fukk around like that or give up.

All I want to say is that we're still at the start of the season, at the top of the league, it's not a time to give hell to our only (if I may) striker.

I don't know what has been said, not bothered to read all the pages i missed  but it's unacceptable the way he reacted to being subbed off.

He has fucking played every game this season and has finished most, one time he gets subbed - in a game where nothing was going his way - and he throws a fit.

Just terrible, and he owes the manager an apology.

I honestly don't know what to make of Torres' fit of rage when being subbed.

What you have to remember though is when a player shows anger, it doesn't meant that its necessarily directed towards the manager.

he was just frustrated with the ref for not giving him any freekicks when he felt he had been fouled and the fact he knew he hadn't played well, it was just pure frustration nothing more.

Yeah but did that happen? no it didn't. It's like saying if a striker scores a winner in a match, it doesn't mean anything, because just before that he lost the ball and if it wasn't for Bob who was the left back who intercepted it, it would of been a goal against them.

That striker who scored is WORTH IT, because he got that goal, that's the point. What happened, happened, and Torres won that corner rather than being the prick who lost the ball and got us kicked out of the CL. He did good, weather it was luck on his side or not, he did the right thing, and he was worth something.
