Stats 7,142
Thing is we conceded 2 goals but the annoying thing is that there was no striker who was quality enough to replace Torres and we could have easily bought a striker to add competition to Torres but we did not. Had we had someone on the bench week in week out with the same quality as Torres, no doubt he would have been taken off but there wasnt and that reason Torres played whole match but did not show any signs of a striker to fear. Ivanovic was more threatening going forward than Torres. We need our strikers to stand up and Torres is not doing it. He had one good game against Newcastle, the rest he has been awful. The sooner we get a world class striker such as Falcao will help us along way. Yes Mikel played shit and Terry should have done better but it is worrying that Torres is a mere spectator in the match and I am sure it is starting to piss everyone off here, including RDM. I hope Sturridge is fit for saturday because he puts twice the work ethic that Torres does in a match
blue_swaggin_96 96
we'll the only good thing i can say is, we gifted them two goals, were outstanding, not disappointed with a draw @ all, juve are a class team, would have been awesome to beat them and end ther 43 run of unbeated game (all)
Blue Armour 4,439
Today both Terry and Mikel were at fault for the second...But whereas Terry made a mistake, Mikel just casually gave away the ball and hardly made an attempt to stop the attack which it led to. Sloppy from him.
Slam Dunk 1,442
A few more points:Oscar should and will be getting regular games now. Big plus taken from this. He was brilliant.Mikel was equally good and equally bad at times. Awful mistake and i'm very annoyed he just stood there watching after he'd misplaced his pass.No idea what JT was doing for their second either. Trying to play offside whilst he's running across you and blocking your view?Torres doesn't realise he's the CENTRE forward, his domain should be the box. Too much time spent in the channels trying to be a winger. Shame Sturridge is injured really.Hazard was very limited against some excellent Juve defenders. The one time he was direct he was in with a shout for a pen, needs to be doing more of that. Defensively he was good though.Mata really should've scored after some nice play with Hazard. How Luiz gets in the team over Cahill I still don't know.Ramires was good actually. His passing is still poor though. Really want to see Moses at RW soon.I felt the Bertrand sub was a good decision, he's not a winger but he's decent defensively and they were on the ascendency at the time.RDM's tactics weren't to blame for this, individual (Mikel/Terry) errors were.Still a long way to go, we really need to equal or better this result in the away leg, which we're more than capable of. Leif 6,006
I wonder what it would be like to play with a striker and at least 1 capable defensive midfielder But no, seriously. Why the fuck is Luiz getting games over Cahill? He thinks he's fucking superman and marauds up the pitch to try and win the game by himself. It pisses me off.Why hasn't Azpi played yet? WHY THE FUCK CAN'T ROMEU GET A GAME?!
communicate 2,703
The worst part of Torres is that we missed aguero/falcao because of him, I am pretty sure AVB would have brought falcao with him, if we didn't already have Torres
blue_swaggin_96 96
How long will RDM keep playing people in wrong positions? Ramires was absolute rubbish today.Mikel and Lampard clearly doesn't work, its insane that we sold Meireles and loaned Essien, we have big trouble here.Torres, my patience is out. Another SHIT performance. It seems everytime he gets the ball he stops to a halt, and either loses the ball incredibly easily or just hits the ground.Oscar was a positive though, should be a starter more often.Id say we were lucky to get a point.i think mikel or lampard should be sacrificed! i want to see , oscar/ mikelmata hazard ramirez
Blue Armour 4,439
A fantastic game (objective view) really. Oscar, what a guy! Pure class. Hazard was amazing aswell and Mata looked good coming on.HOWEVER.Ramires should of been subbed with Moses coming on in my opinion. But: TORRES. I mean seriousley. I have TRULEY given up hope on this guy. He is absolute crap! He seems to think that he is some sort of mix of Drogba and Messi. I dont know what is wrong with him, but if we keep relying on him like we relyed on Drogba, we will be fucked sideways. This would be a PERFECT game for Sturridge to come on as CF. Btw, where was he?He was injured. Hopefully he'll start against Stoke.
Nando 106
not very brightly at all. we could have easily prevented their goals, but we can't complain now. fair result against a difficult opposition although the ref was kind of a prick. impressed with Oscar, but we can't rely on the kids to win us games like that. luckily he saved our asses, because we didn't have many clear chances... Torres was working hard but football is not all about running like a headless chicken, he should stay put in the centre and be a focal point. what pisses me off lately is how he goes down after the slightest touch.. come on the guy's been in England for 5 years, no one's gonna give you a foul in such situationsin conclusion everything will depend on the games with Shaktar

Mufassir08 2,400
Decent performance but i think our squad still needs some improvement upfront and in midfield.I think if torres's keeps on playing like this then falcao is a must and we badly need a midfielder who has got good passing range and can control a game.Against stoke i think azpilicueta, moses and romeu should start.Btw oscar was brilliant and that secong goal was just jaw dropping. Still a decent enough result but we need 6 points from the next 2 games.

Sheva. 5,373
There's no need to cry about anything, we didn't play badly, how many people actually dreaded us getting thrashed before the game started? A lot.We did well and could have won the game had it not been for one silly pass. It was also a far better performance than the one at QPR and Oscar showed great signs, signs that should see him start almost every game from now on.At the end of the day you can point out all the negatives, but there were also positives, and i'm happy with that really. FormerRussianSpy 163
It was refreshing to see Ramires back in the midfield, he really can be magic sometimes. Oscar's performance marking Pirlo was world class. Other than that, the result and the way it happened had an inevitability about it. The usual defensive mistakes by our central two Lamps-Mikel and the impotence of our build up play let us down in the end.

Zenza001 60
very disappointed for the first goal...with Vidal off the field .. and a deviation of Bonucci .... good defense. Nothing to do on the second goal by Oscar .... really a great goal, it reminded me of one of the many goals of Del Piero, who has done it this way. I have some regrets about the first goal .. but it happens ..As I mentioned earlier ... We play without strikers and Giovinco is ZERO ..Too bad for the crossbar of Quagliarella. Anyway .... good draw for us. Many players and first-time champions fared quite wellIt is to fix the attack. If Conte makes up her mind to hunt out Giovinco is perhaps even better. We play in 10 players like last game vs Genoa.
