Why is it a double edged sword? I dont get it

Maybe that was the wrong phrase, what i meant is winning the league cup has often fucked up team's season's for some reason, including the last two winners.

Liverpool and Birmingham have never been title contenders in last few seasons. Not right to compare them to us.

Is stability solely based on the manager tho?

We have had a stable owner for years while United, Arsenal and Liverpool have been having numerous problems in that department. Since John Terry has been Chelsea captain Arsenal and United have been throwing their captains armband around like confetti. We had a world class spine between 2004-2010 that no other club with the possible exception of United could match.

Stability depends on numerous thing's, with ofcourse the manager being one of them, but if we had one manager for 10 years but at the same time our captain and owner was changing every summer and there were numerous power struggles going on with the board of directors, would that be classed as stability?

The constant change of managers have been irritating, but with JT as captain and Roman as owner we have had more than enough stability to get us through the constant manager changes these last 9 years.

Great point :) never looked at it like that before :)

Arsenal/Pool/Manure as you say have all had off-field ownership probs :)

If we could keep both stable that would be amazing :)

I am still not sure whether rdm is a good manager or the man for us . I have never seen us played realy well under him.

But he is a very lucky manager and you cannot buy luck

Guardiola is a lucky manager...The amount of luck they get with Referee decisions is ridiculous.

Fergie is a Lucky manager....We all know about Fergie times and the amount of Refereeing decisions they have been getting in their favor over the years is not even a joke.

For me RDM is not the manager to take us forward. One thing I have to say in his defense is he is incredibly lucky manager, we have tons of luck since he was appointed. However I don't see any improvement in the way we are playing, we still play dire and players are not gelled at all, at times our attack was hilarious.Yes we scored 2 but actually never looked like scoring from open play.Iam wondering WTF is wrong here, we pay the biggest wages in the prem, buy some redicilously gifted ball players and still play shit ?WTF is going on here ? Look at Arsenal they pay like 1/3 of what we do and still play alot better in posession and as a team when attacking.

You are the biggest troll on the forum. Legendary stuff.

I think it was 10 percent luck, 20 percent skill, 15 percent concentrated power of will, 5 percent pleasure, 50 percent pain and a 100 percent reason to remember the name.....

:Goober:

Sorry for the bad joke but i thought " if he's allowed to troll then why can't i ? "

Troll is harsh on Rami :)

He just has a different view on things - that's a good thing, can't all think the same :)

I think Spike said it about a Golfer who replied, harder I work, luckier I get :)

No denying he works hard.

Just hope these shoots of success are nurtured into something strong :)

I also really like him post match, always calm - like Carlo... Think a team responds better to that....
