I was another who doubted Moses, but if we look at in the sense of his positioning we haven't really been proved wrong, i don't rate him as a winger and likely never will, however wingback is a total different role required tactically and he seems tailor made for it. Winger makes all his weaknesses stand out like a sore thumb where-as wing back bring's his strengths out (mainly pace, power and stamina) to the fore, and he's surprisingly quite good at defending too. His average decision making, technical skills and final ball is still visible on occasion, but he isn't in such an advanced position so regularly these days for it to be that big an issue and unlike on the wing doesn't hold back the team at wingback.

Would be like someone not rating Thierry Henry as a winger but loving him as a striker, or Danny Rose as a winger but love him as a left back, players just simply average/not great in one position but very good (Moses and Rose) or world class (Henry) in another.

I will keep my opinion on Moses: he is ultra limited player, and he offer less than Alonso offers in the left back wing. He is usually stucked in the same area of the pitch the whole game and barely goes forward. Not a surprised the team almost never create attacking chances in the right side of the pitch. He basically doesn't fuck the game, but thats not enough to praise him as a great player.

You are probaly watching different player. He is playing perfectly, he does his job defensively with help of Azpi and also bombs forward and links up with our wingers, he also can beat his man and not just stands around for 10 seconds like Willian. He has been one of the best if bot the best player so far this season.

I'm not sure how you think that's the case....he does have a lot of contribution going forward. Today he assisted Hazard, created another one for Hazard and Costa, and almost scored one himself. He also had a goal scored against Leicester two games ago.

For a change I like we have somenone on right side who is 

1.) direct

2.) no nonsense

3.) physical beast

4.) keeps the ball well

5.) knows when to pass and when to run

By no mean is he world class, but he is strong, intelligent player who can improve further in that wingback role under Conte.

At least he doesnt get pushed off the ball like Oscar or wastes time by dribbling air like Willian. 

I have seen you dislike Azpi many times, now Moses. Perhaps you dont see quality in players unless they do zidane turns and golasos in every game.

Btw how can you describe him as ultra limited if he has almost everything in locker? Speed, strenght, can pass or shoot, can dribble, can defend.

Maybe he is jack off all trades, master of none, but fuck me, we play much much better and he is one of main reasons for that.

Hes surprisingly top notch defensively. High up in the final third he still can make some poor decisions that remind me why i never liked him as a winger.

Wingback is almost made for him and it makes me wonder why no one has tried it before with him.

Not sure if that was an "assist", if you now what I mean.

Anyway, the new circle jerk in Talk Chelsea is praise Moses for doing small things. A very limited player with great tactical discipline. No more than that.  Good Things is soon or late people see the light. Years ago Matic and Cahill were called world class players, and we had the best back 4 of the world in Azp, Cahill, Terry and Ivanovic.

My main memory of Wigan's 3-4-3 was the win away at Arsenal in 2012 and if I recall correctly it was Boyce at wing back and Moses on the wjng.
