MU offered £27m for him, seems like a done deal unless we jump in and offer 28-30m. I think we should just leave it, that is way overpriced. The ideal scenario would be us bidding around £20m and Luke Shaw telling Southampton that he only wants to move here so they'd have to accept our bid or keep him. However it'd be highly unlikely that Southampton would accept such an offer, because in spite of their debts they can just sell Lallana instead. And you can't blame Shaw for not taking the risk — he'd get to play at one of (if not the) biggest clubs in the world, receive a very generous salary and essentially be a guaranteed starter. It can't harm to try though can it Roman!

Cant believe some people are trying to justify the price tag. Yes he is young and yes he has talent but it doesnt mean he is guaranteed to be a great player. Also taking him to the world cup ahead of Cole is a big big mistake. If Baines gets injured, this kid is going to have a horrid time.

As for his 27m price offered by Manures, let them buy him. The kid is undoubtedly talented. However, to think that he is going to be a superb player it is too early to tell now.
