Sorry it's in french

but basically Arsenal are thinking about making a bid for Hazard, surely he won't even think about it

7 month old article

Arsenal has made contact with Real Madrid

Arsenal are looking for an attacking reinforcement for the second half of the season.

The Mudrik file then gets the Gunners thinking of a certain… Eden Hazard!

Mikel Arteta wants to finish the excellent job started this season. Premier League leaders Arsenal lead Manchester City by 5 points and are clearly aiming for a league title. For this, the Gunners would like to strengthen themselves with in particular an additional offensive asset. As Media Foot revealed exclusively, Arsenal were thinking of Mudrik , the Ukrainian Neymar . But the file seems complicated, turning to the advantage of Chelsea .

Arsenal considering Hazard

In plan B, Arsenal have identified an amazing profile. It leads to Real Madrid ! Indeed, our sources indicate that Arsenal are considering Eden Hazard . In distress in Madrid , the Belgian still has a good rating in England. Placed on the departure list, Eden Hazard has touches in MLS for the end of the year. But on the side of Arsenal, we imagine an operation to revive the Belgian. The leaders have even already contacted those of Real Madrid to find out the terms of an arrival in January…

Looks like nobody wants him. Can't even find a club as free agent. Not even Saudi?

He had offers from 2 Saudi clubs and Inter Miami, but rejected all.

Think we don’t see him on pitch anymore.

Why doesnt he go to Miami tho. He would have fun there with Messi.

That surprises me too, Saudi I understand. Eden is a family guy, his decision would be made together with the family. Life in Miami isn’t that bad I guess.. Maybe he just gave up on playing himself..

Some rumblings about a return here on a short deal to cover for Nkunku. Not sure how true, maybe just bullshit doing the usual. Probably just because he was at Liverpool game.

If was any substance in these no disrespect but no thanks. I mean he was pretty keen to go to Madrid - his dream club - but just because that didn’t work out and what he was here before, shouldn’t even be under consideration.

Somebody who’s lack of commitment to training has always been publicly verified by ex teammates like JT, Frank and John Obi Mikel - would be a disaster under Poch.

He wouldn't come - he won't do any better, than he did when he was here, so what's the point? To tarnish his legend?

And he'd need to go full Rocky Balboa mode for few good months to catch up on physical performance needed for PL.

As a mentor or PR staff yeah, but player? Sounds hardly realistic.

Him being here in a role similar to Drogba in 2014/15 wouldn't be the worst idea in the world. If nothing, but boost morale.

Not overly sure it would work the same though. And boost morale?

Hardly a travesty where we are needing to take in someone who lets be honest, is extremely unfit and arguably washed up on sentimental grounds because “he is great to have around the place”.

I mean not to sound Roy Keane re the whole Jordan Henderson thing when he wasn’t fit but selected for the World Cup or Euro squad a few years ago…. if he’s not going to be able to play what does he bring?

Drogba was also overused in 14/15 as Costa had continually struggled with niggling fitness issues that season and even at times for Atletico the previous season but am kind of glad DD was there as he was an old head, had experience to lead the line as a lone front man and was a real leader - somebody Mourinho could trust to do a job.

Not sure we could rely on Eden in that same way - particularly as physically the way he is, his game has always been reliant on things like speed, agility, sharp changes of direction etc and it looks like his body has broken down. Lack of European clubs trying to sign him says it all

I agree with @OneMoSalah that he's not, and really never been a role model... esp in a very young squad. On the other hand, a simple talk with him, and poch + scouts can find out about his level of commitment for a one-year deal rotation role.

It's not like he hasn't come back from vacation carrying an extra stone, so it all depends on his level of commitment.

Realistically, he's likely not up the challenge, but a talk won't hurt no-one.
