The Skipper 20,609
I don't know I've been thinking, maybe we could play Hazard as a second striker rather than him playing a true number 10 role. The structure of the team would be something like:ForwardCreator - Second Striker - CreatorSort of like how City play. They play Aguero in the number 10 role but he isn't exactly known for his creative prowess, more for his penetration in the final third. Maybe that's the plan for Hazard too, to have two creative players around him. Just like Aguero has Silva and Nasri flanking him, we can have Mata and Oscar flanking Hazard. Just a thought. Just because Mata and Oscar aren't positioned centrally doesn't mean they wouldn't be as creative. That doesn't explain why a team of:TevezNasri - Aguero - SilvaWorks perfectly fine. Silva starts on the right or left or wherever but he still has a telling contribution in almost every game. I'm trying to say that perhaps Mata and Oscar could work in a similar vain, perhaps almost like a false ten role.
Land 331
Aguero is a striker,he even played as a CF for Atletico,Hazard has a different playing style from aguero...kun likes playing inside the box while hazard outside of it.Anyway, as i said before,if you are playing Hazard as a 10,you are favoring him but at the same time you are disfavoring both Oscar and Mata.I would be in favor of it if Hazard and the team would benefit from this move(like turning messi into a false 9)but i just dont see that happening. AndersonBLUE 819
No doubt RDM will alternate the roles, either from game to game or at half-time/substitutions. He will continue to do this untill something clicks and works for the team, which is why we will see a slow start to the season imo. sleazyB 58
If Hazard, Mata, Oscar, and Marin could form a really good relationship on the field, and play some beautiful football together I would like us to experiment and try Hazard up front Hazard Mata Oscar MarinI know his career here just started but i see some similarities with Messi, and would like to see how this would work. Just some food for thought. mediator

headhunter23 70
there is a lot of speculation, I just hope the comm shield will have something somewhat resembling our regular lineupi expect 4-3-2-1mikel-lamps-ramireshazard-marin( or mata if he is available)torresI dont understand the rush to play mata/oscar/hazard all at once right off the gate, they are 23 or under lol, they have so many years together, by playing them you are either sacrificing mikel or lamps because there is no way rambo isnt starting and tbh the thought of only ramires and possibly lamps/mikel playing defensive mid is not something we should consider especially against better opposition.... some food for thought

Kojo 4,676
So where is this world class Hazard you where all talking about?.If he plays well against Wigan, then i have some faith in the lad, but this is getting worrying as i said a while ago. All this huge confidence on this player, 32 million pounds spent. He needs to start fucking performing, don't give me any of that bollocks that it was only Community Shield, he hasn't looked anything superior, Torres has played good are you all gonna say that was just Community Shield?, i seriously doubt that.Disappointing i must say, and to think he wants to play CAM, there has been nothing creative about him either. All the people who put down any comparisons to Messi or Ronaldo, please, don't even bother replying to me. capriccioso, The Rising Sun, Term-X and 1 other

It was like when Andy Carroll was playing bad everyone was saying ''look at his work rate, he works so hard''.No i expect better from Hazard and that performance wasn't good enough, was he even playing by the way?. The Big Drog 1,110
The negative comments are stupid. He looked very good on the ball, moved it well, provided a threat going forward, ran at the backline. A big improvement on the performance against Brighton.
