Signing Hulk would be more a prestige thing than anything else, I feel. Would he add much more to the squad? He definitely has his qualities, but on the whole I am unconvinced by him. I think in Schurrle we have a better, younger, hungrier player, but if he does indeed come here of course I will support him.

I don't know the fascination people have for a kid that isn't that much talented at all. He has his moments, but overall he will just be a good player. Not even a great one, let alone world class.

The same can be said about Hulk in my opinion, except Hulk will make a difference in more matches than Lucas.

My ex-husband supports Sao Paulo - Lucas' team in Brazil - so I've watched many of matches in the past years by Lucas.

The boy has his merits - which aren't many - but he's so basic it hurts.

I don't think a player is talented because once in a while he shows some talent to make a play. That's Lucas. He sucks in many matches in a row and then he does a great play. Maybe with a better manager - Carlo is pretty competent if you ask me - he could develop, but he really lacks a few things imo.

As I said many people like him though...

Shoots when Hulk should pass.

Hulk relies on Hulk's pace too much. Without pace, Hulk is nothing.

The hype some Chelsea fans have for Hulk seems to be as a result of some fetish that some fans have for players that are based on power and muscle. But everytime I have seen him play in the last year has shown me nothing that he is worth the huge money needed to buy him.

I don't get why he is being slagged off. He's got some impressive qualities and he would have been a great signing for us. He relies too much on strength and power, but recently the wide players we buy are quite the opposite and I kinda miss the powerful forwards we had in the past. Have to admit though, after the signing of Shurrle, I don't think anymore attacking midfielders/wingers are needed, so it's a bit nonsensical to splash another £30+ million there instead of resolving far more important issues like the double pivot and the strikeforce.

The more I watch Hulk I realise he's not that good and would be a waste of resources. We can do better.
