Superblue 6,372
I still think Juve will get him. I dont think we need Llorent. We need a different type of Striker. I would buy Jovetic. He just gives us another option upfront. I wouldnt like us to be stuck with two pure CF.So you want to play a 60 game season with just one 'pure' centre forward??!! I can understand a third choice striker being a more versatile player who will get as many games in another position as he will up front and merely offers an alternative strike option. However for me a top club needs at least a couple of high quality pure striking options. These are generally your main goal getters who offer a greater threat and understanding in that position than someone like jovetic who can play there but isn't strongest there. KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
Yes top clubs tend to have at least 2 quality out and out CF's and even more goal getting types of forwards. We need another CF or Hulk. That much is clear. We need to add more goals to our game. We've already added more than enough creativity.
Jype 6,398
If it's true that a club from London is after Llorente, I believe it's Tottenham. As much as I'd like it to be Chelsea rather than Spurs, I just can't see it. Reckon he'll go to Juventus though, no reason to choose a shit Europa League club over the best team in Italy who can offer higher wages and also Champions League football to him. Justin_3d 1,140
Yeah and since AVB wanted Sturridge, it showed they are after a CF.As far as us goes....I have no idea.It would be awesome though if we get him. It will complete our strike department, and for a good price.

Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
wonder what our strikeforce will be. torres, studge, hulkortorres, llorente, studgeortorres, studge, jovetic.ortorres, studge, mosesortorres, cavani, studgei dont see cavani coming this window but i threw him out there.,,but my favorite option is with jovetic. you can go on and on about needing 2 WC talents as forward but let me ask you was rooney&welbeck&chicharito the most feared strikeforce in europe!? they nearly won the fuckin league! guys we have an abundance of attackin midfielders and playmakers,, and if we do our strikers will/should be givin numerous chances to score! Ollie 4,400
Tottenham just signed Adebayor, City have striker coming out of their ears. If any club needs Llorente, it's surely us. He's Spanish too
cadenza666 221
Tottenham are going for another striker too, currently in discussions with Damiao reported in Brazilian press today.if that doesn't go through, they might actually be after Llorente

Superblue 6,372
Damiao makes sense for Spurs with their links to Inter. Although that didn't stop us from buying Oscar Llorente is definately my number one choice considering whats currently out there on the market and his likely transfer fee and wages. Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
he would be a fine option for he could be second to Torres but unless RDM has plans to play studge at rw, dont see any new ST coming.
Superblue 6,372
Didn't anyone see the guy that said the reported agent is not really Llorente's?Yes but as it is official that he won't sign a contract and therefore is nailed on to leave Bilbao this summer then we are still speculating, particularly as Chelsea still need a striker IMO. Even more so with no guarantee that Torres will score goals and Sturridge has not yet played many games in a STR position at the top level. It would be a huge risk not to buy another striker.Sturridge was always Anelka's replacement, so we still need to replace Drogba.
