BlueSanti 290
Plus he is always smiling. He is a cool guy. People just read in it too deep.He can smile as much as he wants as long as we are in champions league next year, he is putting all his effort into game and he plays like beast. Not when he plays like shit.

Wavy Crockett 190
Let's be honest, Torres isn't the "turn the game around" impact sub type, in fact he rarely does well if he doesn't start the match. So under those circumstances he did relatively well, I noted a slight but definite change after he had come on, in a positive way. Also we need to stop relying on our defenders to win games for us. I'm happy enough my confidence is restored in our back four (in relation to how things were just a few months ago) but we can't expect them to be our main goalscorers too. Trueblue1982 48
This was a repeat of the game vs Wigan under Hiddink...And we all know what happened under Hinddink................ maybe we could do one better, someone on hear has already said about the mirror image of Hinddinks spell !!!!!!!!!! lets hope !!!! Strike 7,489
cech - 6 - could have positioned himself better for the goaldefence - 6 - quite shaky without JT. bertrand ws immense after struggling initially with moses.midfield - 4 - piss poor. wigan were driving forward, bypassing the midfield far too easily. mata was irresistable thoughattack - 5 - missed few sitters. kalou, sturridge and drogba had decent chances to kill the game off. torres, apart from a couple of slips, was very slickgr8 result for the team that was picked although the performance was forgettable. worst player - essien. conceded so many fouls and guilty of not tracking back often.best player - bertrand? maybe. but mata was absolutely gr8 at CAM. On to Fulham now. Good weekend ahead
Jase 43,479
cech - 6 - could have positioned himself better for the goalNot too sure about that. He was pretty much standing in the normal GK's central position. Diame hit his shot with pace and power and doubt Cech would have been able to save it anyway. And the whole Nasri thing... come on they are all pro footballers... i think that is one big conspiracy to think that Essien is out to get the club who he plays for !!!! come on !! YuriZhirkov 106
Sure both Ivan and mata was offside but what about the penalty? It was a clear handball of the wiganplayer.
Tomo 21,751
I think were reading too much into this Essien thing. Sometimes when we concede silly goals i smile in a way as in i cannot believe what's happening so if i don't smile ill cry sort of way, Essien could quite easily have been doing the same.As for hugging Nasri after the City match? you seriously can't be slating him for that surely? Torres done exactly the same to nearly every Liverpool player after they turned us over at The Bridge, yet i didn't see him getting any stick. Ollie 4,400
He's not exactly miles offside is he? Benefit of the doubt goes to the striker. He's a yard offside at most.
francozola 2,040
He's been playing shit for months now, clearly letting the team down (and costing us 3 points at City). Even if he feels like smiling, he should fucking pretend to be upset over it. He's a player who represents this club, not a fan sitting at home. It sends the wrong image, especially when he's being paid millions and millions of pounds (through 3 fucking seasons of sitting on his bloody arse too)And I thought Torres got a lot of stick after that Liverpool game for doing that? If he didn't then he should have.

francozola 2,040
he has hardly chose to sit on his arse. This is getting ridiculous now, let's leave it.Of course I didn't mean that. but the point is true eh? He's a representation of the club, very different from a normal fan and it's annoying to see him doing that. And I'm not just picking on him, if it was Torres or Ivanovic or JT I would have reacted the same way.(not the "get the fuck out of my club" comment, that was a slight over-reaction but his performances have been dreadful and he offers absolutely nothing to this team anymore)
coolhead23 1,147
My MOM would be RDM for this one for finally playing Bertrand .... FINALLY!I dont care what we did today because what i care now is 3 points. Beg, borrow, steal is the mantra. We have been playing shit most of the season, no point analysis the performance now 3 points is all i care and yes playing youth for more game time would be just added bonus. middleoftheshed 388
Who makes this thread??? No mention of The Great Stamford Pigeon??? I heard that Pigeon was the player of the match (first half anyways) & got a standing ovation from the fans in the Shed End. No justice on TalkChelsea This was the most interesting thing about the first half tbh.'He is a pigeon, he shits where he wants!'
