So it's either

Torres who will frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, do a bit of "good movement", frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate then get subbed off.

or

Kalou who will frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frufrustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate, frustrate then score.

Yes, Torres doesn't score, but his movement is better (not in this team), better at passing, crossing, dribbling, etc better at most things he just wont score, at least Torres will get assists, Kalou will just lose the ball, lose the ball, lose the ball, and still might not even score and if he does he will still play shit, it's really not worth it, we have more chance of getting goals than Torres upfront than Kalou, because Torres will help others score goals, Kalou will help the other team score goals...

by losing the fucking ball constantly, Torres >>> Kalou, being a forward isn't just about GOALS!, especially when your helping the other team score more than you are.

It's got the point where ill take Phil Mitchell up front if he scores a goal.

LMAO!, big Phill will have some strength at least, and if we can cross the ball im sure he will head them in.

It's all good having link up play but at the end of the day every forward will get judged on their goal records and they are what ultimately wins us games, the only way a forward can get away with a shite goal record is if he makes up for it in literally every other way, ie Dennis Bergkamp, but even Dennis would get taken to the slaughter if he only scored 5 in 46.

My 4-3-3

---------------Cech--------------

Ivan.--Cahill--Luiz--Bertrand

--------------Essien-------------

-------Ramires--Lampard----

-Kalou-----Torres------Mata-

Lampard has 10 goals this year making him our highest scorer. Malouda could take his sop though, I am 50/50 between them.

I can even see a 4-2-3-1

-------------Cech-------------

Ivan---Cahill--Luiz---Bertrand

------Essien---Romeu----

--Kalou---Mata---Malouda-

------------Torres-------------

If Sturridge is out and Drogba is fit, then it's time for Drogba and Torres up front with Mata behind them.

I still dont understand why this was never tried again...

Because whenever we do, Torres ends up going wide to the things. These guys haven't played 4-4-2 in a while and have forgotten how to do it. Plus Torres & Drogba have always played as loan strikers. Even when Drogba had a 'partnership' with Anelka, the latter was forced wide.

It will be different now though (hopefully), first off there's Mata, and secondly Torres has more or less stopped playing like a main striker.

He's never in the box, he always drops back to get involved, and also tries to create for others, so i think it's time we played him with a main striker - Drogba.

4-1-3-2

Any back 4 (minus bossy please)

-------essien-------

Danny-Mata-FloMo

---Torres--drogba---

Why not TRY this???

Any formation with

--------mata--------

--Torres--drogba--

Could be great, because lately, we aren't efficient with one striker up top...

Just TRY it avb
