But IMO he will need to be playing. The more I see of Mirallas he gets better and better. The amount of talents your national team has is amazing. There is also Mertens who has stepped up from the Eridivisie to the Serie A. Also generally for KDB form and fitness, I think he needs to be playing week in week out because he is a very good player. Whatever happens he will be used as rotation. For instance he was nominated our MOTM against Hull but next game he did not feature. This is going to be something he will have to accept if he wants to be a part of the Chelsea squad this season.

Even if Kevin doesnt play that much he will be first choice for Belgium regardless. He has been playing supremely well and players like Mirallas, Mertens, Chadli are not even half as talented as Kevin. I dont think Kevin will struggle to get minutes at Chelsea as I think hes the ultimate Mourinho type of player.

What do you mean by "ultimate Moruinho type of player"? I think it will be the case with most of our attacking midfielders that they will be rotated. Well even if he is first choice for Belgium I think it would be best for him leading up to the World cup year if he played regularly as it will leave him in the best shape and form possible.

as football always works, the best will play the most, if kevin has the talent/mentality to be of importance to chelsea he'll get his playing chances.

on the other hand if he doesn't manage to show his talents in the now probably reduced playtime he gets, i would advice him to search his luck somewhere else the first coming transfer period.

now personally i would love him to be of importance to chelsea, not as a benchwarmer, that's entirely up to him an jose how this will evolve

England World cup and European championship squads have been full of players who have played 50plus games a season. lots of star players at some of the biggest clubs in europe..then play like shit in part because they are worn out.

KDB will be kept fresh enough to be able to play well for Belgium...now back to what`s best for Chelsea seeing as we are all supposed to be fans of them.
