While disappointed in Frank I will obviously get over it and hold no grudges. However I don't think it's Pat Nevin's place to say definitively: "It won't damage the way Chelsea fans feel about him".

Chelsea fans' groups agreed, saying they "would not begrudge" him the move.

"You always get one or two idiots but the majority of fans will not go against him," Chelsea Supporters' Group chair Trizia Fiorellino said.

"It would be strange to see him in a Manchester City shirt but I could not begrudge him."

They read our forum.

when he played for us he was responsible for stopping OUR fans racially abusing Paul Canoville who was also a Chelsea

player . Nevin said if the abuse continued he would leave the club . The abuse stopped and Pat is still with us ..

He will have known before signing for them that this was inevitable, I somewhat doubt he was naive enough to think this wouldn't happen. His status with us comes with it 'responsibility', being a football legend for a club isn't the same as working in the real world.

Anyway i'll believe it when it's official. He may say he won't play against Chelsea but that's far from the point. He'll be going out to win Man City vital points and we're possibly their closest competitors so he's the enemy. It brings back memories of Denis Laws back heel at old trafford.

This cannot happen.
