based on our tactics now...

Pedro => Griezmann/Carrasco (proven goalscorer)

Matic => Veratti (dream signing)

Alonso => Kurzawa (this guy is really fast) or we can hijack Shaw???

as a Center Back, if Zouma and Christensen will improve and deserve in the first team than no need a new CB...

Sell :

Mikel, Oscar, Cesc, Pedro, Ivanovic to give some room for Youth....

I think buying from A. Madrid is too tough.

PSG might be easier even though they have money. But players are getting tired of that league, so hence a bit much easier then Atletico.

We can also go back to getting players from Serie A that are not Juventus. Dealing with Juventus is also hard because just like A. Madrid they are in a good situation.

Napoli, Roma and such we should see if they are now willing to sell.

I have been thinking about our team recently. The current formation together with Conte's micro-managing and passion has improved many performances. I saw warning signs in the early games of the season, where we worked hard but did not appear very coherent and stable, something I think we have improved upon immensely since getting destroyed by Arsenal.

The formation has plugged some of the holes in the ship, but there is still room for improvement. I think the weak links currently in the setup we have are Cahill and Pedro. Neither players are terrible per se, but they are far from top class in my opinion. I also have some concerns regarding Moses and Matic, even though both have stepped up a lot in the last four games. I think for the latter two the jury is still out, but I just dont think Cahill and Pedro have the required skills to perform in our current setup.

Since we are not playing in CL this year, I wonder of January might be a bit more busy than before. Regardless of whether it is this January or next summer, I am curious whether the club feel that it can justify another CB purchase. I do not see Ivanovic staying after this season, and Terry will most likely either retire or move. While we all love Christensen and Zouma, there are no guarantees Conte will find both/one of them good enough. I would personally love to see a summer purchase of Van Dijk, I think it would be difficult to find a better player for the CB position.

I would also love to finally see us buy a truly class right winger. We have been stuck with players who do not perform there for what feels like an eternity. Willian/Pedro are just never going to be good enough to consistently threaten on that flank, and it is unfair on Hazard to carry the brunt each time. I honestly do not know who would be a good transfer here though, any thought?

Also, please sell Oscar.

I would love for us to buy Draxler

In defense we are ok with christensen and zouma, of course if we will take: jimenez, varane or similar would be great! but we are ok
Midfield: we need a creative player:: verratti would be amazing or alcantara or like them
attack: i would love to see Dybala! but would be fantastic also griezzman
I think we have to sell a lot! a lot a loans ( maybe 10-12) plus a players in the team, who can use to get money or like switch for our goals market

Griezmann

Dybala

Dimaria

Aubumeyang

James Rodriguez

I agree with you that we need another goalscorer. I would hate to see that our current setup could be easily countered if the only two goalscorers we have are shut. We need one more goalscoring, (preferably left-footed) to put us as a very dangerous threat, and among Europe's strongest attack.

Don't expect us to buy a left or right winger under Conte as I fully suspect him to move to his 3-5-2 formation ala Juve. So don't suspect Mahrez or Lazio's Felipe Anderson who we were linked with a few weeks back.

We need a new CB. Even though Luiz, Cahill and even Dave as CB are doing fine we still need a new one. Would love to see us go for a big guy like Van Dijk. A no nonsense defender.

As for the midfield...I don't know know. Matic is doing fine and you also have Chalobah who has potential. In a 3-5-2, Eden can play as offensive midfielder like he does in the Belgian team and what he likes to do as I believe he recently said he preferred the #10 position over the leftwing position.

As for strikers, Tammy is just a prospect and Michy is still unproven in the PL but has the potential. I would love it for Michy to become a better version of Lukaku, even though Lukaku is great, but that really depends on how quick he adapts and how good he truly is.

Wingbacks for the 3-5-2...Moses as RWB is good...even though the guy isn't from origin and Alonso is doing fine as well but more competition on those spots would be good to get those spots covered enough.

Still plenty of work for Roman, Conte, Marina and Buckenalo.

With this 3-4-3 we really could not know which players we will need. Only thing for sure is that we need one central defender and right winger, anything else depends on formation.

If we plan to stick with 3-4-3 we need wing-backs. Not just back-ups, you can't rely on Alonso/Moses for good, at least not both of them.

Matić and Kante are doing too good together to replace some of them.

I'm not so sure about this anymore. Next season we will have Christensen, Zouma, Luiz, Azpi and Cahill for this position. If Ivanovic and/or Terry stay then we're set, if not, then we might need to look for a backup defender, but for starting positions I think we're covered for next season. Getting good wing-backs is a more pressing issue if we persist with 3 at the back, or at least proper covers for Alonso and Moses if they keep this form up and cement their places. At the moment we have none.

We might not need to look for long as we have Nathan Aké and Kenedy on our books.

Three players for the left side, okay. Right side? Don't say Pedro.

I was talking about Nathan for a CB position potentially. No I don't think Pedro is a good option, neither is Ivanovic. Who would you think is a good option for RWB?

Honestly, I don't know. Ideally a natural full-back who has good stamina and is good at attacking. Know anybody who fits the bill? I'm not too familiar with full-backs right now, they aren't as interesting as midfielders or attackers :( Out of the current team I can only think of Willian, but he would be another makeshift WB like Moses. Ideally we'd have somebody natural there.

We used to have Cuadrado in our team...
However, I don't know either. Conte must do though, and I think he has some players in mind. I never thought Moses would become such an important part of our current XI playing as a RWB (even though I wanted him to stay this season) so you never know who might fit the bill.

I think that Willian is a natural RWB.  He's really good in the first 2/3 of the pitch.  His decision making in tight spaces around the box, leaves a bit to be desired.

Yeah, hope we try him out there some time. But judging by Conte's quote Pedro is more likely to play there, who knows, it might just work.

3 more years and we have him back :worship2: What a genius loan that was.

He was loaned out for the fact that if another team wants to buy him, like for example Barca (who are weirdly linked with him), they have to pay Chelsea full and not Juventus.

Speaking of Cuadrado, what a foolish, sick making twat he is. Signs a contract with Chelsea, fully sane, but ends up being a little bitch that doesn't want to play for us and in England and wants to stay in Italy. You can blame Mourinho for it...PARTIALLY. Not even with his old club Fiorentina but with 1-horse-race-team Juventus. Conte wanted him to stay at Chelsea this season but the cunt wanted to return to Juventus and Italy. I hope he never comes back to SW6 as a Chelsea player. And if he comes as a Juve player in f.e. a UCL match I hope we beat 'em hard. Pisspoor menality that guy has.

Sorry if I sound too harsh on him but Conte wanted to give him a chance and wanted him to stay but he feels he's bigger than us so he can move back on what looks like a ridiculous loan move.

Oh, also: Cuadrado or Pedro/Willian? Yes, Cuadrado. And definitely under Conte. So it hurts extra much.

What about Henrikh Mkhitaryan for the right wing role? Rumours are telling that he might be on his way out of Manchester in January. Yeah I know he isn't in the same class as Robben/Bale/Griezmann/Dybala but he could still be a major upgrade from Willian and Pedro. And sure there's always a very small chance that he just can't perform in the Premier League but let's just remember how poorly KDB, Filipe Luis, and Cuadrado played when Mourinho was in charge. Mourinho's 4-2-3-1 formation is famous for being unsuitable for most footballers on the planet and Mkhitaryan could have a much better chance of succeeding in the more attacking role of 3-4-3.

Don't think that'll happen and don't think Mou will sell to us and also not that quickly. But yeah...anything better than Willian.

Right winger is becoming an issue isn't it? Damn Cuadrado should've fuckin' stayed.
