Everton's defensive woes might actually open the door to a move for Stones. They are looking to replace Howard and probably Jagielka sooner rather than later so why don't we go back in with a bid that enables them to rebuild now? Maybe even offer them one of Djinobody or Hector either on-loan or permanent. Finally makes one of them useful.

Stones actually looked a bit miffed with some of the stick he got from the crowd yesterday and gestured to them to 'calm down, calm down' but probably not in an annoying, high-pitched squawk.

Would love him here. Just need to treat Everton respectfully this time. Tell Bill how great Blood Brothers is or something.

what Chelsea needs is scouts in Argentina and Uruguay premier league.

we need to find a new Diego Forlan, Luis Suarez and Sergio Aguero.

or at the end of the Argentina and Uruguay premier league just go to transfer talks with the top 3 Goalscorers strikers in the Argentina and Uruguay.

Reports have came out that Marquinhos is unsettled at PSG and warry of our interest. PSG are reluctant to sell.

Question is, why am I getting my hopes up, when it won't happen?

Blind optimism

Summer targets

  • John Stones
  • Isco
  • Griezmann
  • Ricardo Rodriguez
  • Witsel

People might say this is far fetched but this team needs a heavy clear out, this summer must be the time it's done. This isn't unrealistic, these players should be the ones we are looking too as well as shipping away the shite we have sitting around.

No cutting corners, no square pegs in round holes just pure quality players that get us back to level we should be at.

Stones, Rodriguez and Witsel are realistic.  Isco won't be short of offers if he decides to leave Madrid and Griezmann ain't leaving Atletico unless we can convince Simeone to be our new manager.

I would also add Wanyama to the list. Big, physical DM, loves to tackle and press, knows how to pass the ball

He's keen on moving on from Southampton, he's proven in the EPL...apparently they want 20 million for him, maybe we can give them cash + one of the fringe loan players

Lack of champions League will ruin the type of players we can buy. Damn this season has set us back years

I think in a way it swings both ways, yes it's set us back but maybe, just maybe this was what was needed to wake us up a little and make the people behind the scenes realise that scraping the barrel and resting on laurels isn't the way to go and now is the time we actually start doing things quickly, efficiently and with a much improved outlook. I think we will be a great project for a new manager to step into, CL or not. This season will be the wake up call Roman and everyone needs, and I think Hiddink will be telling them exactly that, he's some what an outsider looking in and is a real football man and mind.

A new chapter is needed.

Not necessarily, look at the standard of players man U signed 2 seasons ago after the Moyes season.

At the time, Di Maria and Falcao were superstars and Blind and Rojo were coming off big WCs.

Na, show them the money and will come here without a second thought.

Yeah man, money definitely talks but we're not a sunk ship yet. It takes one world-class player to say yes and others will follow.

Depends on the level of investment the club is looking to use. New stadium is coming up, entirely funded by the owner, we may have had to curb regardless.
