We need a good window of selling the dross hanging around the club

So many bit part useless players on our books - massive clearout needed.

We should definitely get Rice though and move Jorginho on.

Edit: I have confidence Timo will come good and Havertz will score plenty. Wouldn't mind Haaland next season if he doesn't leave this season. Feel we are writing Timo off too early. Look at Suarez first season.

Jorginho is ideal for the deep midfield role in the current system - receiving the ball from centrebacks and turning the play forward or keeping possession. Even if we add Rice, I'd look to keep Jorgi and loan Gilmour for gametime (integrate him in another year since he is also talented). Keep a midfield of Jorgi Kova Kante Rice as options for 2 or 3 midfield positions.

Yeah, Jorginho just frustrates me though. He can't tackle and just gives up and picks up silly yellows and gives away silly free kicks.

He has improved massively under TT - but still feel he is our achilles heel...

Doesn't have to be 100% starter but if you go around the league you'd struggle to find anyone as good as him in that role

Fukc Rice....Tchouameni is the answer to our midfield problem...

We will regret if we fail to sign that guy...I see him in the mould and shape of Kante in the future...

Players don't always adapt to the EPL. I would rather a tried and trusted player IMHO. Not saying he won't be great- but it's a risk.

Hence we miss out on great players..true players coming in might find it hard to adapt to the league but Rice at €80m or Camavinga/Tchouameni at €40-50m... I know the player I will go for...

This or Tchouameni...our midfield will be insane under pressure opponents will find it hard to press us...

They already do.

I'd prefer Tchouameni as we lack a out and out defensive midfielder.

Same here....but would rather Camavinga than Rice...

But won't they both keep fucking off for AFCON or whatever its called now.. could really hurt us at crucial parts of the year 🤔

As I said here previously, I don’t see the hype with Tchou, but happy to be proven wrong if he’s in blue, our blue. If we were to sign Cama instead of Tchou/Rice, then we’d definitely need to upgrade our creativity in a big big way, no issues with having Kante and Cama, pressure press isn’t even the phrase for that, but we are lacking against teams who sit back.

I love how the city mini generation around agüero Fernandinho kompany etc will remain forever unfulfilled without a CL win and how you could taste that from their tears Saturday night 😈

assuming De Bruynes stays WC into his 30's like Lamps did (he was 34yo, almost 35, his last WC season)

Pep has 5 more shots with KDB, 3 or 4 for sure, even if he does tail off at 33, 34

I must admait I am just staggered they are not going all out for either Håland or Mbappe this summer

and then grab the other next summer (if they are still available)

Mansour is the biggest heir to a TRILLION quid family fortune

money means NOTHING to them in terms of a couple hundred million here and there dropped on their hobby/PR vehicles

same for PSG

those two teams dwarf any sporting teams in human history (unless Kublai Khan or Crassus, etc were bankrolling some shit, lolol) in terms of money backing them

it's fucking nations
