Sounds like a good deal, he is only 19 so the experience would be good for him. Hopefully he can establish himself in the benfica first team and get some CL experience as well before coming back to Chelsea at 21.

It's nice that he's going to a top side on loan like Benfica rather than Vitesse or some Championship side. That should do him wonders.

Signing Lazar and loaning to Benfica is actually some pretty good business by the board. I wonder how much we paid for him though. Would be disappointed if we paid more than 10-12m.

Nice, been keeping an eye out for this guy a while now and he's been impressive. A bit raw, but definitely bags of potential and two years on loan at a top club like Benfica would really do him a lot of good. Wasn't keen on him going there permanently if the plan was for us to eventually buy him once he's ready because we all know how hard it is to negotiate with the Portuguese top clubs but a loan would be perfect.

Maybe something for Jose to announce in a couple of hours? The way this Partizan president spoke about it everything seems done and dusted already.

Sounds like a great deal. Bring in a talented prospect, loan him out to a solid footballing club..where he should be able to settle in with his Serbian friends and then bring him back when he's ready.

If this kid fulfils his potential, we'll have a solid RW option in the coming years.
