So if we were to hypothetically present Dortmund with an offer of say £30m and they agreed, do we really think Lewandowski would turn down a chance to play under Jose and with our awesome squad?

Just find it a bit confusing how he's so dead set on going to Bayern. Gomez had a brilliant season for them and then got brushed aside like a scrub and had to transfer within a year. Now if Lewandowski goes there they'll brush Mandzukic aside. If Lewandowski struggles or doesn't score 40 will they go after the next big name?

Bayern just seem like the Real Madrid of Germany. Why would any young star player go there at the moment where no matter how good you are, you have so much competition for a place that you won't play as much as you could.

For me, it still doesn't make sense...he had the opportunity to leave Germany, seek a fresh challenge in a more competitive league and potentially earn more money...yet he'd rather play it safe and move to Bayern.

I'm just assuming that either: a) Lewa's agent has a fishy deal in place with Bayern munich. or B) Lewa has always wanted to play for Bayern munich in the back of his mind..

Yes, it nakes sense, but there is more to it than meet the eyes...

Maybe he doesnt want to leave Germany or maybe he wants to leave Germany but not for England. Maybe he is not fond of Jose Mourinho (crazy, but who knows). Maybe he made an agreement with Dortmund and/or Klopp that he will play one last season with them. Etc...

Do I think it is possible? I do and you explained it very nicely, but I dont think it is slightly a given as you make it. I actually think bringing Lewan to Chelsea is as hard as bringing Rooney!

He prob already has a pre-contract with Munich though. He'd be my very first choice...

He can only sign a pre-contract in january. So nothing's carved in stone yet. We can also get him for free next year. It would be a good buisness: sell Torres and get Lewa free.

What people have to, and still havent, is realize that Lewa is only interested in one club, and one club only. And that club certainly isn't Chelsea. Get over it.

thats why i put (sarcasm) into my post. it was directed towards the people who came up with Lewandowskis name up and up and up again during this transfer summer and even some believed we could get him for free next year.
