I don't join forums and use a Hip Hop producers name in order to give you my life story. I'm a 90's baby, Champions league quarter finals/Guojohnsen/FA Cup winners. You're 75 so I can imagine there'd be a gap in how big you think Chelsea were when and where.

This is the Juan Mata thread.

so why insult other fans ,,,OF course you are TX closet Manure fan as well I seem to remember

Or they could not finish top 4 with him, or they could finish top 4 without him. Or we could say no and they could use the 40m to buy a player or two who would help them finish top 4. Lots of possibilities and none of them more likely than the other.

What is certain, though, is that if we do accept the bid, we would lose a player who is not really in the managers plans and would have 40m to strengthen our squad in the summer.

YOU have a wonnderful ability to see only your view ,, must be wonderful to be always so certain you are right ..

Pro-selling people seem to not want to deal with the fact that we will be weakened by this sale. Style or no style, our AMs is our main strength in this squad, if nothing else, and selling Mata halfway through the season leaves us vulnerable to injuries for the rest of the season - unless he is replaced by someone adequate, which I don't see happening.

Except Mata doesn't play. When he does play, our AMs aren't generally the strength they are when we've got Oscar, Willian and Hazard in the side. If we get injuries in those positions to Hazard and Oscar for example, we're fucked whether we still have Mata or not because our team is built around those types of players.

Mata isn't needed.

Everyone seems to be pointing at the summer transfer window as a reason, but until then we'll be weakened this season while still fighting for titles we can win now. The summer window will also have inflated prices because of the WC, so it makes me laugh when people say we can get 2-3 WC players out of the Mata sale. Right now this only makes sense for everyone but us.

United's real targets might actually be available in the summer though. This is a panic buy by them.

If we sell Mata, we lose a player who doesn't actually seem to make our team function in quite the same way it does without him.

Honestly at this point in time he might actually be sixth choice AM behind Hazard, Oscar, Willian, Schurrle and Ramires.

When we play a top team, NOBODY includes Mata. So we're going to say no to £40 million for a player to only appear against Stoke in the FA Cup and maybe West Ham in the league.....oh wait, we can't afford a replay so we probably shouldn't risk playing Mata against Stoke because last time he played against them we lost.

And against West Ham we only played 2 AMs so doe we need him for that one or could we go with a 3 man midfield of Lamps, Matic and Rami?

Oh shit, I've got it. CARBONITE. The people who want to keep Mata don't actually want to play him. They want to Han Solo him and hang him in Jabba's palace (no jokes about the woman who owns Southampton please lads). That will be a real statement piece...it'll really tie the room together.

I was bored and paid a visit to Redcafe.....

Oh boy oh boy, United fans over there are a bunch of most delusional and idiotic people I've ever witnessed....

Apparently they are all wanking after hearing Mata is not at training today, smh...

Relax everyone. This thread has gone beyond ridiculous. Mourinho has made it clear. He wants him on the squad, but if a top player like him wants to play more games it's righteous that he leaves. That's perfectly fair. But this door should be open only for teams outside PL. Mata himself IMO does not fancy PL transfer either. He probably wants to try Barcelona the summer.

BTW I'm not conceding that we are better off without mata than with him in the team and that Oscar is superior. that will never happen and I have made my views on that clear enough. however, I'm looking at it from a financial standpoint and also from the pov that players of mata's quality should be playing regular footie and since he won't get that here, it's makes sense for both parties to part ways

Of course I could be wrong, I'm expressing an opinion

But that's what happens when you actually provide a well presented opinion backed with logic instead of just shooting snide and cynical comments: you end up with an opinion that you can actually defend and discuss :yay:

Nothing has happened.

That dude likes to jump to conclusion before things happen.

He was like that when he thought mourinho was going to United calling him a traitor..

I just don't understand the desire people have here of taking the extreme side without having the truth.

And we all know how much the English media make shit up.

I remembered them stating how hulk was a done deal for Chelsea some time ago.

It won't be the first and won't be the last. But people never learn.

Well, I honestly doubt nothing has happened. To me, something´s cooking here. Sadly enough, I hate to see him going especially to Manures, but him not being at the training grounds, that´s all she wrote, I feel.

As for your comparisons, not one of them was as clear as Mata´s.

As you might have seen, I have questioned Jose´s dealings over the last summer, Lukaku & all. Still not very happy about it.

Just one thing I agree with this sale. The 40m may go a long way to buy other players.

There are two choices here, I feel. Either you keep Mata around, let him sit or grab the money & run. Manures are no threat for the PL title anymore.

THIS is how much faith Roman has in Mourinho!, the russian is almost treating Jose how Ferguson was treated at United..

Chelsea Football Club is no longer run by the players or the board, the manager is in charge!, at last.

Quite a bold assumption to make. Are we sure that FFP hasn't gotten to the boards head?
