Fucking tapatalk. Sorry guys

You pervert.

Anyways, I've been impressed with Lukaku. I can't see him staying at Everton much longer. It was the right choice in the short-term as playing there regularly has enabled him to develop. Time to move on next summer, though, otherwise his career and development could both stagnate. Everton aren't going anywhere and I can't see them getting anything better than Europa League football any time in the next couple of years.

Which top 6 PL side would be most suitable for him if he has a great season?

Don't really know actually.

Just saw his goals btw, first one wasn't easy...

Arsenal would be the most suited, but he is perhaps a little too clumsy in possession to fit into Wenger's model. He'd have to work on his passing game, for sure.

But I was thinking outside the box and thinking a move back to the continent would suit him best. With his explosive pace and ability to both hold up the ball and run in behind, I think he'd thrive in Spain.

Tottenham, maybe United. All other teams have better options.

Kane to Utd and Lukaku to Tottenham would make sense.

But then again, I can imagine Everton demanding serious money, signing him for +/- £30 mil and all, making him impossible to sign for a team outside the top 4.

He'll have to drastically improve his all-round game and become a striker wanted by the elite.

Everton think they're hot shit.

Doesn't suit Arsenal's style of play.

I think he does. He offers everything that Giroud offers bar the touch but he runs the channels and his style of play would suit Ozil in terms of slotting through balls etc.

He's nowhere near Giroud's level of link up play or hold up play, which is absolutely vital. It's the reason why Welbeck and Walcott don't start up front.

Arsenal don't play on the counter very often, they play quite narrow with lots of interplay and a lot of their moves require the striker to have an astute touch. Lukaku needs space to run into. Arsenal don't play like that.

Welbeck doesn't start because he's a decent striker at best. Constant excuses during his time at Utd. I remember all the fanfare when he just signed for Arsenal. Worse even were the comparisons to Henry after a few games. The great Thierry Henry. Unbelievable. That's blasphemous.

Giroud is better than Lukaku imo. He receives too much stick. Scapegoat for Arsenal's failings as a team. He's flawed but he's a very, very good striker. And I find it hilarious how his biggest strength, his top notch aerial game, is barely utilised by Wenger. That's the same as buying Aguero and never playing him through on goal.

Arsenal fans would end up booing him within a month because he'd kill so many of their slick passing moves. Even a few times this season you hear the Everton fans getting audibly frustrated with him because the ball bounces off of his foot like a brick wall. His touch is still shocking. He has games where he's unstoppable and others where he looks as if he doesn't belong on the pitch.

Of the top 4-6 teams in the PL I'd say he'd be most suited to United. That's if they dropped Rooney (which ain't happening) and played Mata in his natural position. They have great width from their fullbacks and with Mata feeding through balls that Lukaku thrives on that would be a pretty nice team.

Sides that set up to dominate possession and play intricately (Arsenal, City) or sides like us who need a striker that can hold up play excellently and link with the midfield are bad fits for Lukaku at this time in his evolution. He is at his best in open space and running on to a pass out in front of him. Basically being a train at full flow. His touch is too poor and he's pretty poor with his head for someone his size.

Think it's still a bit too early for him to be the #1 guy at a massive league or CL challenging side. Do think he'll get their soon, though.

“John is in a good situation at a good club which believes in him,” said Lukaku.

“He is playing and is learning from Phil Jagielka. He’s been here two years now but this is the year where he really needs to confirm he is the top player he can be. This club has massive potential, with the players we have and ambitious manager. He is in a good place. He’s in a good situation. He needs to keep on doing what he’s doing. He has the Euros coming up, so why go?

But let's not forget (February 2015):

'They know I'm a good player but that I want to develop so I can eventually get back to playing for a club like Chelsea.

'I don't have a secret ambition to rejoin — there are other clubs in the world. I just want to grow as a player and eventually arrive at a top club again.'

Hypocrite like his manager.

Poor touches per game

3 for Lukaku ... touches MD1(47), MD2(45), MD3(48), MD4(43) ... total(183)

4 for Costa ... touches MD1(44), MD2(44), MD3(50), MD4(35) ... total(173)

1,8 for Lukaku and 2,2 for Costa in 2014/15

1,6 for Lukaku and 2,9 for Costa in 2013/14

1,4 for Lukaku and 1,9 for Costa in 2012/13

Lukaku's poor touches per game during his time at Chelsea was extremely low ... Costa should be a lot better as he's being provided with quality service (that's much higher than he would have received at Everton).
