Yes, just saw it.

This bit is interesting (cc @Tomo) :

https://football-italia.net/lukaku-expresses-Chelsea-regrets-and-inter-reunion-hopes/

“I am not happy with the situation at Chelsea, that is normal. I think the coach chose to play a different system, I just have to not give up, keep working and be professional. I am not happy with the situation, but I’m a hard worker and I mustn’t give up.”

And then there's also this:

“I really, genuinely from the bottom of my heart hope to come back to Inter, not at the end of my career, but while I am still at the level to win more trophies.”

I'd like to get annoyed but I'm not remotely surprised.

He's a brat and pulls this shit off everytime things get tough.

I don't blame him thinking that, all we do is hoofball from rudiger to Lukaku, highly similar to what we did with Giroud... No chances or goals created from open play, only Jorginho PK or corner/cross

Tuchel needs to change formation and figure out how we attack.

He pulls this shit everywhere he goes including with us the last time.

I'd like to think Inter would resign him but they've upgraded in Dzeko so why would they.

"I'll be professional" bro..

Ps. This is the first part of the interview from Sky Italy, wonder what the second part is about...

Actions speak louder than words.

He can put his money where his mouth is by winning us these big games we have coming up, starting Sunday.

Yeah, after things eventually got stale at previous stops, not a few months after making a £100m move.

But literally everyone predicted this would happen, which makes the whole thing look even more stupid from our aide.

Likely benched now.

I agree with Lukaku. I am happy he stepped up when no one does. Our attack is shambolic. I hope others follow.

Every attacker is underperforming big time and this cannot be because all of them turned shit from previous clubs? It is because of coach.

Lukaku - expectations 30 goals in season - reality 5 goals after 20 rounds.

Havertz - unreal player come to Chelsea by some miracle only to be played out of position.

Pulisic - we saw what he can do in first season here, made us forget Hazard, now nowhere to be seen...

Ziyech - assist machine, maestro in reality nothing.

Werner - another player you would expect 20 or more goals, he has 2 in league lol

And we also have 2 academy players who do nothing in 80% of games in attack.

TT for almost a year did nothing good with our attack. This is a fact.

Players have power to change things. Tuchel better listen unless he wants to be gone. Immediate drastic changes are needed!

Tuchel is sealing his fate if we bench the 1 guy we have available who can finish

It's after he realised he wasn't getting an unconditional starting place, it just took longer at United than it has done here.

We're talking about a guy who thought competing with prime Diego Costa as a 20 year old was beneath him. If he goes back to Inter he'll quickly get dropped for Dzeko and probably spout some nonsense about how he's always dreamed about returning to Everton.

At other clubs he didn't come as royalty. King of Milan. Two sub appearances was quite enough for him to show his face. And his worth will be seen in the next three games. If he starts that is.

Such a tragicomedy this signing, in the long run as catastrophic as these injuries. Injuries will ruin this season. He is already 185 mill loss. That will haunt this club for the years to come.

Tuchel doesn't play to his strengths. Why the hell? How better off we would be with this money now  while our league position wouldn't be very different. He won us two games but costed as many. Will he win us next three games? A point at least? I'm not holding my breath.

Apparently this interview was done nearly a month ago before he caught covid and the quote about Tuchel was more to do with he felt he was fitter to play a bigger role than Tuchel and the medical department felt he was.

It doesn't completely excuse the situation, the Belgians seem to be amongst the worst for talking publicly in the media, but probably a little bit more context given to it than it looking like he's just come out bitching at the lowest and most challenging part of the season.

It is still, however, another headache to contend with. Why do we always have to self-combust every time things seem good?!

Everyone else seems to be claiming their own translated version of the interview but his quotes were apparently more or less that Tuchel plays a system that doesn't suit him/Tuchel chose to play with another system.

I don't think the timing here is necessarily the problem but more of what he said. Did he really need to say what he said to the media?

And that's without even talking about him wanting to go back to Inter while still in his prime (a kind of comment that is never going to sit well with fans).

I think more will come out of this in time but my interpretation of it is that the comments on not being happy were taken from a question asking him about his fitness and condition and his response more or less suggested that he felt he was capable of playing more, as opposed to openly questioning the system. It would seem ridiculous for him to question the system, when Tuchel has played it since he first arrived here a year ago.

I'm not bothered about the Inter quotes to be honest. He left there under a cloud and it seems like the interview is a way for him to diffuse that situation with their fans. He enjoyed his time there and doesn't want to tarnish that, I've got no problem with him trying to mend that relationship. He's not the first player to say he'd like to go back to a club. Hazard said when he's finished at Madrid, he wants to go back to Chelsea. It's hardly like he's said that he made a mistake joining Chelsea and he wants to go back to Inter as soon as possible.

The usually reliable Chelsea media have covered the news and with the quotes that he did question the system.

In any case though, is it really a surprise if he did question it given he has looked at odds with the system so far this season and the fact that he has a history of doing/saying such things?

Let's face it though, Lukaku had an injury and some of those games we had, he would be gobbling up goals for fun. E.g, Newcastle, Burnley, Norwich, Leciester (with how their defence has been this season). I know people say our attack is inconsistent but can't help but think TT, never changing the system does not help too.
