Lampard and Ramires as a pivot...was always going to fail. Ramires isn't a fucking DM... We won't win this game against a fresher, hungrier Villa side.
-
All we need is a win and we basically guarantee UCL football.

I think if you take away two top-class players from any team, they'll look like absolute crap. You take away RvP from Arsenal last season, they'd finish mid-table...take him away from United this season, they wouldn't have won the PL title so easily... You take away Bale from Spurs, they'd be below 6th for sure... In most cases, the team's performance is based on the brilliance of 2-3 players...unless you have a strong tactical system like Dortmund, Bayern, Barca of 2-3 years ago... I'm not saying that Benitez has 'achieved' anything at Chelsea...but your example applies to most clubs.

Not many "above average" managers available for an interim job...

Fellaini to United makes alot of sense. Good deal for both clubs...Everton gets around 20 million and United gets a midfielder.

Some people will never see the importance of Benitez's work at Chelsea. I agree that he's a complete cunt & has been clueless about substitutions since his Liverpool days...but he's steadied the ship. He hasn't overachieved (by winning trophies) or underachieved (by finishing 5th or 6th). He's satisfied the minimum requirements of an interim manager. Now, both parties can move on without too much of a fuss.

It's always funny seeing Benayoun on the pitch...such a useless player. He must love life at Chelsea....just train with the first team squad, make a few time wasting substitute appearances and then collect your weekly wages. Why did we keep him this season? To be honest, I'd rather see the skinny Josh McEachran on the bench than Benayoun..who kissed the Arsenal badge and celebrating when RvP beat us last season

Hopefully he goes abroad. United won't strengthen a title rival like Chelsea. Maybe he'll learn a thing or two in France or Germany.
-
With di matteo as our coach, the results would have been pretty much the same...except maybe 1 win rather than a draw out of the fixtures you listed. Also, with di Matteo as our coach, we wouldn't have beaten United 1-0, most likely would of lost against Everton and i'm certain we would of screwed up against some other mid-table side. Kinda glad that Roman pulled the trigger on Di Matteo, hope he gets a coaching job sooner or later.

Rooney for 30 million? United aren't stupid...if they had to sell him to us...they'd certainly ask for a Torres-like figure.
-
I don't see the difference between signing Rooney or Falcao or Cavani (apart from their finishing). All of them will IMPACT Lukaku's first team chances next season. Furthermore, I highly doubt that United would be stupid enough to sell Rooney to an EPL rival for 25 million. Afterall, United aren't like Arsenal, they don't sell their star striker to a rival.

Coutinho is versatile and capable of playing multiple positions. Oscar can only play as a CM or CAM...he's useless anywhere else on the pitch. And unfortunately for Oscar, he's got to compete with a much better player in his favourite position at Chelsea.
-
Well we all expect Oscar to be far better than Coutinho....he cost 25 million, Coutinho only cost around 10 million. Oscar hasn't really done anything since his 2 goals against Juventus. He'll probably become a good player...eventually. I think Coutinho hasn't been given a proper chance by the Brazilian NT due to a lack of playing time at club level. He's never been given the time to settle at a particular club...until Pochettino gave him a chance at Espanyol...and now he's full of confidence, playing well for Liverpool.
-
Damn...Wigan almost had the win! Good to see Spurs fail to get another late winner. Feel bad for Wigan, I think they're going down this season..
-
I highly doubt he'd be considered for the World Cup squad and that's a good thing for us. He just needs to keep a level head, continue developing and he'll get his chance to impress for England, maybe he'll be part of the Euro 2016 squad? For the time being, hopefully Jack Cork is considered for the world cup, he's had an impressive season at So'ton....and England could use another DM.
-
Why is De Bruyne's loan part of the Schurrle deal? Leverkusen are ripping us off with the Schurrle deal, they are getting a better player than Schurrle as well as cash.
-
To be honest, I don't think a few losses to Dortmund will affect Mourinho's reputation... It's the players fault for losing. Mourinho's mentioned that he's had a falling out with Casillas & Ramos at Madrid...maybe that's causing a volatile dressing room, hence a lack of effort on the pitch. The coach can only do so much on the training pitch, if the players don't respond well to the coach, in most games they will lose. For example, look at AvB, he just couldn't get his message across to the Chelsea players, ended up losing his job...now look at him, the Spurs players seem to be responding well to him.
-
I reckon he's 2 seasons away from being a squad player at Chelsea...hopefully he does as well as Bertrand when given the chance...
-
The last day of the season can't come soon enough. You should leave, just like your lover Rafa.
-
Sturridge was one of England's best striking prospects. Unfortunately for him, he didn't get enough game time to showcase his skills. I'm kinda glad he left Chelsea, he was always treated badly. At least at Liverpool, Rodgers is using him properly.
-
Yeh, bet the Liverpool defenders are quite happy.
-
yeh staying in the EL might actually help Spurs and Arsenal. They have the fresher players & the easier fixture list.
-
Damn...I really thought this was the game that Spurs would drop points. Our chances of top 4 are all but over...we still have to play United, Everton and Spurs.
-
From what i've heard, he's a right winger with great versatility. Should be an interesting addition to our U-18's.
