  1. Don't think the sale of Suarez really matters. If Liverpool slide down the table, another mid-table club will take their place.
  2. We should definitely keep Lukaku at Chelsea. Unless of course Mourinho thinks he needs another loan... Lukaku will be an absolute beast in a few seasons...and to think, some Chelsea fans called him a flop, a waste of money, an average player. Youngsters take time to develop, don't lose faith!
  3. if Romeu can regain the confidence he had under AvB...he'll be the perfect squad midfielder.
  4. If we wanna dominate the opposition's midfield, we need a new DM/CM. I just want a midfielder that doesn't mind lunging into the odd rough challenge...someone that is physical.
  5. He's probably worth around 15 million...but knowing Porto, they'll ask for 25+ million...
  6. I don't see him going on loan to a PL club...cause not many clubs would actually use him. Maybe a loan to Watford..if Zola wants him?
  7. http://www.sambafoot.com/en/news/47742_milan_enter_race_to_sign_barca_s_thiago_alcantara_-_reports.html Now Milan want Thiago as well.
  8. No Defensive midfielder? We'd get owned in midfield.
  9. I think we need a new DM/CM to play an effective 3-man midfield. ---------------------Cech-------------------- Azpi - Terry/Branna - Luiz/Cahill - Cole Rambo -- new DM/CM---Oscar ---Hazard---------Mata Lukaku/Torres/someone else
  10. Yeh, we could offer them Kakuta or Marin in a player + cash deal. That would be a good deal for both clubs.
  11. In the past Fellaini has said his destiny lies with a Champions League club...now he's saying that he's committed to Everton. He's just scared that he won't be a guaranteed starter at United...
  12. It's great to see the club invest into youngsters in the 20-23 age group...but they all need regular football to develop their skill sets...and I doubt we're gonna give all of them a chance at the same time. As other posters in this thread have mentioned, we lack the more experienced players in the 26-29 age group..which is generally the age where players start to fully understand their game..and 1-2 of them begin showing leadership on the pitch. Also, by signing players like van Ginkel...doesn't that effect the mindset of our own youngsters like Chalobah or RLC...as they know another youngster is blocking their path to the first team. Eventually the youngsters will get frustrated with a lack of opportunities/too many loan spells...and they will ask to leave...particularly when they see their mates of a similar age playing fairly regularly at other clubs.
  13. 40 million + Torres sounds like the right price for Cavani. But i'm guessing Napoli would rather have Dzeko than Torres..
  14. Well..RDM was sacked by West Brom...thus had the opportunity to become assistant manager under AvB.....as for Zola, he's not really in danger of being sacked..and I don't see why he would leave Watford to become Jose's assistant...that would just show a lack of ambition.
  15. that is awesome news. I think Jovetic wants to win trophies...not settle for a top 4 finish at Arsenal.
  16. Yeh..no ambition. Rather than going to a more challenging league, he chooses the safe option.
  17. Gonalons...what a player. That kid just looks class. I want him at Chelsea.
  18. True, it's all about marketing...but seeing Torres with the armband was disgusting. Hope some Italian club bids on him.
  19. The Bundesliga is now gonna be boring again. It'll be Bayern...then a gap...then Dortmund...then everyone else.
  20. if you want a ready-made player who would thrive in the EPL...look at Strootman, the young PSV midfielder. He could probably solve some of our deep-lying playmaker issues...would cost around 20 million.
  21. Who cares if Gomez scored a decisive goal against RM in the UCL semi final last year.....Lewa scored 4 goals against RM in the UCL Semi Final this year and he's got much better link-up play.
  22. Mikel won't be sold...cause no club is gonna pay a decent fee for him. As for Torres...hopefully Mourinho clashes with him...that will be very interesting to watch next season!
  23. He did alright at Madrid as a right back but I agree that he's not the same player anymore. I mean if Mourinho wants to keep him and he wants to return to Chelsea, then that's fine.... BUT..I just think it's best for all parties to let Essien move on for a decent fee..
  24. Mikel's too passive to flatten someone like Toure. And that's what we lack in midfield...a bit of steel and a bit of aggression. Miss the days when Ballack and Essien were the midfield enforcers.
  25. I'm just hoping Mourinho and Torres clash...cause then he'll be forced to leave or just sit on the bench.
