  1. just have a bad feeling about this game... Hoping for a draw...but expecting a 2-1 loss.
  2. http://www.insidefutbol.com/2013/04/21/kevin-de-bruyne-prepared-to-move-to-any-of-three-bundesliga-clubs/84050/ Don't know about the validity of the source.
  3. I'd take him over Cahill. I do agree that we should be targeting a younger CB...but on the other hand, with Terry's fitness concerns...we could use an experienced CB to help keep Luiz focused for 90 minutes.
  4. I'm just worried that Dortmund might take KDB away from us...they've built a strong, young team... Damn....if only Watford can get promotion (assuming Zola stays as manager)...that way we could loan out De Bruyne in the EPL.
  5. Well they can knock us out of the top 4 with fresher players...that's a scary thought.
  6. Yeh, let's finish 5th and celebrate the Europa League trophy
  7. How would you know if three additional games is a problem for the players? They could easily pick up injuries in those three games which could cost us UCL qualification. We have the toughest fixture list out of the three teams chasing UCL football and you're saying three additional games shouldn't be a problem. If we had a larger squad or tried to blood in a youngster or two, I'd be more than happy to see us progress in the Europa League...but at this stage of the season, I'd rather see us guarantee UCL football for next season. The Europa League isn't a great competition & it never will be. It's mainly for Europe's second-tier clubs and a few strong clubs that screw up in the UCL.
  8. He wouldn't be playing over Michu... The whole point of Swansea bringing in Lukaku is so that Michu can play in his favoured 'second striker' role just behind Lukaku. And Lukaku is a big upgrade at CF...compared to Swansea's current strikers: Luke Moore and some Itay Shechter
  9. well obviously he won't get the same service he did at Liverpool...with Gerrard spoon feeding him more than half the goals he scored. BUT, the players have provided decent service, Torres has just been rubbish infront of goal. Sturridge was pretty selfish but he always looks like he's about to score...Torres just looks useless.
  10. He has been used as a left winger, right winger and a second striker by Partizan. They can't seem to find the best position for Markovic He needs alot of work on his technique, decision-making under pressure and finishing. Apparently some scouts have said he's like a Serbian Walcott. He's got good pace, good control but on numerous occasions, he's let down by his poor decisions. Unless he shows something brilliant in pre-season, I think he'll be loaned out.
  11. Our last 7 games are probably the toughest compared to Spurs and Arsenal's fixtures. Spurs only have to worry about City and Chelsea. Arsenal only have to worry about Everton & United...maybe Newcastle if they play well.
  12. Ramires was useless at RM/RW against City in the league game. We lack a proper winger: Moses is still a work in project, Ramires isn't a winger and Oscar doesn't look comfortable out wide. We'll put a good fight against City but with their fresher legs, they'll win 3-1.
  13. Would of been awesome to have seen the likes of Di Natale, Del Piero in the premier league!
  14. The funny thing, you joined this forum a week after Rafa joined Chelsea. You only support the Chelsea manager because he is Rafa and you only support Torres cause he's a former Liverpool striker. Could you explain "very good reasons" behind Mourinho's sacking? He is our most successful manager since Roman took over the club. So when Rafa leaves in May, are you going to keep posting on this forum?
  15. We will never know if he's "ready" until he plays a few games for Chelsea... I mean until he gets a run of games in the Chelsea first team, no one will be able to say if he makes an immediate impact or struggles with Chelsea's tactical system. He's done well at West Bromwich in his first full season of EPL football.
  16. You can't 'fix' Torres anymore...I really thought Benitez would have been capable of getting the best out of him but it just hasn't happened. He just hasn't been able to produce good performances for more than 2-3 games at a time. If worst comes to worst and no other decent club wants to take a chance on Fernando...our next manager will just have another problem to deal with.
  17. Good to see Salomon Kalou score a brace against Lorient. 5-0 win for Lille.
  18. Hopefully Torres can put in a few more good performances before the end of this season. Maybe that'll attract a bid or two from Atletico/Russian clubs..
  19. we haven't look better than them so far...
  20. Pathetic first half performance. No real energy or drive from our midfield.. Sunderland have looked good on the counter.
  21. Would be sad to see De Bruyne go to Leverkusen next season....we need a quality crosser in our team.
  22. I see Spurs beating Everton cause they are missing Fellaini, Pienaar and potentially Mirallas.
  23. At the end of the day, Rafa won't be here next season. There was no point welcoming him to the club, he is the interim manager.
  24. I was hoping West Brom would be able to secure a draw against Arsenal.. Must-win game against Sunderland.
