  1. I get your point and I'd take Gomez..for the right price...probably around 15-20 million. The same goes for Dzeko...not worth more than 20 million. My opinion for Gomez is fairly bias...for some reason I just don't like him as a player.
  2. Games Started: 20 Goals Scored: 8
  3. I wanted to see Schurrle playing for Chelsea...but then again, Leverkusen are asking for 20 million. Maybe this means we'll see De Bruyne at Chelsea in the upcoming season!
  4. Why not pair Varane with Luiz...if Real Madrid are dumb enough to sell him. I don't see why we have to sell Luiz, he's a top-class player because he's so unpredictable...he just needs a bit of work on his positioning. If Mourinho can coach a bit of discipline into his game, he'll be a top defender for a number of years.
  5. Yeh, must be so hard to score goals when you have the best midfield in Germany behind you. Gomez doesn't offer anything different to Lukaku.
  6. Yeh, I just don't see City selling him to us. They're not gonna strengthen a title rival.
  7. If only Quaresma didn't let all the fame get to his head early on in his career...
  8. Oh god...Gomez is rubbish. Dzeko would offer something different to our attack...cause Ba is a limited striker, Torres is Torres and Lukaku is still learning.
  9. I just want to see an improvement in terms of points and more consistency in our play. Hopefully we see a youngster or two given a chance (eg. Lukaku)
  10. Bale isn't worth anything more than 60 million. Madrid would be better off signing Suarez.
  11. It's funny that you act like some expert on which players won't make it here. Chalobah is the best youngster to come out of our academy in a long time...have you actually seen him play?
  12. If its true, sell him with a buy back clause. He's a talented player...but he seems to lack that drive and determination which separates an average footballer from a top-class footballer.
  13. Yeh if we followed your advice, we might as well shut down the academy...
  14. I'd rather see Chelsea let go of Essien.
  15. Wouldn't say he's the 'perfect' player...and anyway, I don't see us spending 17 million on Di Maria...because we are already signing Schurrle.
  16. He did well playing in a central position. Unfortunately for Oscar, his favourite position is taken up by our best player...and thus, he was told to play in the wide areas..which limited his effectiveness.
  17. Lukaku will officially become homegrown according to the FA rules at the end of 2013-2014 season..as he will have spent 36 months in England prior to his 21st birthday.
  18. Well..if they gel properly...that would be an awesome combination to watch! But for some reason, I see Madrid signing Bale or Suarez...not both.
  19. Jose and Madrid never looked right from day one. It was always going to end badly due to player power. Mourinho can only do so much, the players never really had team chemistry and it seemed like they needed a manager to continuously feed their massive egos. Watching Madrid screw up in a number of competitions was awesome..it just shows you that money doesn't always lead to success.. Overall, Madrid are like the Spanish Manchester City of recent seasons. No real team chemistry, they only perform in certain games and their dressing room is full of egos.
  20. KDB has every right to be concerned about his immediate future. He wants to play regular football and cement his place in Belgium's first XI for the World Cup. Coming back to Chelsea and sitting on the bench won't help him.
  21. Well said. I just think Ba is a limited striker now. The injuries he's had over his career are finally catching up to him...he just doesn't seem to have that extra spark in him anymore. Sure, he can put in the odd top-notch performance but he shouldn't be starting for a club like Chelsea. Overall, I reckon Ba is still a good squad player and he'll play a role in the development of Lukaku...by taking some pressure off the youngster.
  22. A number of clubs were after the young, gifted Torres whilst he was an Atletico player. As for Torres now, I can only hope he leaves the club.
  23. I thought we did offer him a 1 year contract (according to widespread reports at the time)...but he wanted 2 years..and that clashed with the clubs over-30 policy.
  24. Sport is about competition...but I like watching Liverpool lose their best players, same goes for Arsenal. Liverpool are a mid-table side..but with the finances from Suarez's potential sale, i'm sure they'll find some new south american striker to fill the void. As for beating the best, maybe we'll see other teams rise to the challenge? The likes of Swansea will only get better..as they begin to play European competitions and attract better players to the PL..
  25. The fans showed him alot of respect, we were very patient with Torres...had to wait an eternity for him to score his first goal. As for the club not playing to his strengths....what did Torres expect? That we change all of our tactics just for him and spoon feed him bags of goals like at Liverpool? If Torres wanted respect, he would of stayed at Liverpool, possibly retired there...
