This. For me all our current midfielders are for 3 man midfield except Matic who can handle the 2 man midfield. Fabregas is way to weak in defense, Ramires is too limited with the ball and passing, Mikel is too defensively oriented and RLC will find it easier to play with 2 more players close to him. Maybe Benedikt Höwedes. 27, good all around and versatile. There's Laporte left only from the hot picks. I doubt we'll get Varane next season also, he is way too good and young for them to let him go no matter his wishes. I'm still hoping we get Stones, it would be shame to drop everything. He wasn't that bad against City, had a few bad touches, but also had some decent link up moves. There was a great attack in which he jumped to the sky and tried to send a through ball with his head that Kompany intercepted and started counter attack. Considering he is 22 he has done great at Everton anyway already. Still we made a great deal with him, 28m is a lovely amount of money, and he would take some time to break into our team.

Tough choice between Zouma and Pedro as MOTM, but I'd go with Pedro because it was his debut and because WBA were shit in attack in previous two games. Fucking nailed his debut and he's not even 100% fit his work rate was also incredible, he was 3rd player with most miles covered (after Matic and Fabregas).

Good game for him. I don't count the slip as a mistake from him, so I can I only remember an occasion or two in which he missed the ball or could've done better with show part. Besides that, rocked it!

Well if we get him - awesome, if not it means Juventus are either asking impossible money and/or Pogba wants crazy wages or doesn't want to come. I'm just glad we're showing some ambition, he's The Thing in today's market and it's good to see our name around. I hope that if we fail to bring him Jose brings another midfielder who will compete for position or at least remember he also has Loftus Cheek. Next season we will see is Oscar as n10 and 4-2-3-1 a way to go, or we're back to 4-3-3 and raiding poor Atletico again.

Brilliant striker that is very nicely suited to Arsenal. Definitely a great transfer for them and a player to take them to a new level. I'm hoping Real could go for Aguero if Benz leaves, that would drastically weaken City.
