  1. Thanks for responding. I'm not sure I've understood what you meant to say. If there is a winter break then winter weather cannot cause games to be postponed. Aside the money issues I can't see other reasons for crippling team's chances in Europe by playing through the winter, and both Mourinho and Wenger already brought up the issue a few times. From one point of view it is ironic what you said and I agree, but from the other it seems to me as if the insane amounts of money injected into the game caused all this loss of quality. For example it's sickening to me how Eden can't play his football well in England because he gets abused every time he's on the ball, and honestly I wouldn't blame him if in a few seasons he wanted to switch to Real where he can actually play football.
  2. I agree mostly with your post, but at this moment it's still to early to really bench Fabregas, especially considering that we have begun PL season 1 week eariler then usually and most of our players are yet to be fully prepared for the season ahead. Cesc isn't known for his fitness, and obviously it shows so early into season. And I really doubt it Mourinho even thought of playing Willian and Oscar as CMs because it's not their natural position and sadly our defense has been shaky for some time now. But yeah, I am not a big fan of having Fabregas and Matic as two deep midfielders when we defend. It makes Matic over work, and it makes Cesc burn out and lose the cutting edge and precision needed for his passing.
  3. Exactly what you said. I believe some people have forgotten what a forum truly is and kinda got spoiled by facebook, twitter and short dumb stuff you write on those. Sure I get pissed quite a bit with Chelsea at times, but coming into the match thread and wenting my frustration doesn't really help anybody...and I find it very ugly when I visit some club's forum and find fans just slating some part of their club with no arguments provided.
  4. Does anyone else feel that the English football has actually lost on football quality with all this fierce competitivnes combined with more phyiscal play? After watching some games from Spain, Germany and Italy I was left surprised how some games were fun to watch even though I had no fucking idea who some of the players were. Movement, passing, chances...all there, while when I watch games from England, it's mostly running and kicking the shit out of opponent with ocassioanl glimpses of why I actually love football. I am aware that this was and is something that is unique to English football and all that stuff, but I feel it has gotten worse (or better if you view it from a positive side) with all the money, fame and media being rolled around the Premier League. While that isn't bad by itself naturally, to me it seems that it had a cost PL had to pay, and the cost is in the technical quality of football that we see. And not only that, but there is no winter break for English teams and for example, we started this season already 1 week before. I am not a physio sure, but even to me it's evident players need at least 1 more week to get ready for competitive football, and our squad has no injuries thankfuly by luck and our great medical stuff. It seems to me that the PL chiefs don't give a single fuck about players or quality of the game rather then milking more money out of PL and trying to advertize it as much as possible. And again, you can say well yeah they only care about the money of course, and while you are right, I thought that they maybe cared for footballers just a tiny bit, but it doesn't seem to be the case. To add to my argument, I would point out how English teams did in the CL in the last couple of years. Last time an English team won a CL excluding our magic victory, is Man United against us in 2008, and afterwards English teams were almost always struggling against teams from Italy, Spain or Germany. Talk all you want about being lucky, but this is a period of full 5 seasons without an English team dominating in Europe and PL is close to having 3 rather then 4 teams in CL soon. I am excluding our 2012 victory above because by no means were we dominating, nor it was a regular CL for us.
  5. I remember that, I was screaming all manner of swears at my monitor. If instead of a ball they kicked a ballon, he still wouldn't manage to get it how awful he did.
  6. I thought the same, but Cuadrado not being on the bench while Moses, Ramires, Remy and Falcao are, doesn't show a bright future for Cuadrado. That implies he leaves the club on a transfer or loan. If he leaves the club, we are left with Hazard, Oscar and Willian which is fine, along with Traore and Moses, and considering Chelsea's ambition for this season, that simply isn't good enough. That implies a transfer, and Pedro is the best available winger for a completely decent transfer fee. 2+2=Pedro I do get you do though, somehow it's tough to imagine anything regarding us in transfer market at this moment
  7. I never said you broke any rules mate, and neither did I by quoting you and responding to your post. If I cause attention from members for what I wrote then I acomplished my goal, and my goal is always to try and add to the quality of this forum no matter how I do it. If it means getting you angry for 5 seconds but reducing the amount of idiotic posts I've seen in the last couple of weeks, then by all means I'll piss you off because you will cool off fast and the quality of forum will still remain higher. If the roles were reversed and you did the same, I would approve it and have no problems with it. By simply writing here what I've tried to point out without quoting anybody, my post would quickly be suffocated by the other ones and wouldn't be really aimed toward Eden. Nothing personal bud
  8. Sell Cuadrado, get Pedro. LW: Pedro, Hazard RW: Willian, Moses bonus: Kenedy and Traore. Great combination of experience, age, pace and tehnique. Unless Cuadrado was injured which he wasn't as much as I know, his exclusion from the squad speaks about his future here, and if he's to leave Pedro is ideal.
  9. if somebody makes a joke, no it doesn't make all Chelsea fans look bad to the whole wide world, but when I open 5 threads in a row and see bunch of similar posts after a defeat/draw knowing more then half of them are serious rather then jokes I think the exact same thoughts as you: This place is becoming more of a joke each day. Shocking and sad really because i used to love this forum. Except I still love this forum to bone and always try to abide by the rules of debate and rules. And really, most of my frustration isn't aimed at you, but generally on what I noticed some time ago.
  10. Aw yeah now you've mentioned it, I really like his haircut, he looks much more a professional footballer rather then cave man
  11. It's okay, we've got Cuadrado, he's even on FIFA cover! fuck still can't believe how much we failed with the whole Cuadrado Salah thingie. I mean, officially we didn't fail that much, we will make a profit of Salah and there is a question of how much Mourinho would like Salah in the team considering the freedom and importance he requires, but it's still painfull none the less to see him rock for italians, and to watch Cuadrado fall flat on his face every time he pulls on a Chelsea shirt.
  12. If he dropped Ivanovic who would replace him? And if he dropped Fabregas, guys to replace him are Mikel and Ramires, and they aren't helpful unless we're winning. Yes I know that you mean Jose was reluctant to drop Bane last season, but season is past and I would avoid talking about it.
  13. My bad, I kinda meant to point that post towards the club itself, not Jose I agree, hopefully we will have some official stuff done soon.
  14. Good and strong performance for him that is definitely very imporant for the upcoming game against City. He does well there, it will bring him a world of confidence and will make it very tough for Tibo to return to starting 11. Good luck Asmir, time to shine!
  15. I agree with all 3 posts above, was invisible, slugish and should've been taken off rather then Oscar. It's a big call to bench him against Man City, but if Jose was to do that I would have nothing against it, especially considering it's an away game.
  16. Hopefully this bad result gives him a sudden realisation we definitely need some signings to give both squad depth and quality. Rahman deal needs to be done as soon as possible, while Cuadrado, Kenedy, Traore and Moses need to be dealt with. Who is staying, leaving, loaning, playing, dancing or whatever.
  17. Bane was so awful I would agree, though I think Montero would rape Ramires also anyway. To me, Ramires should've been on the wing along with Montero to suffocate the fucker whenever he was on the ball and kick him like Hazard kicked the Swanse ball boy 2 seasons ago.
  18. It's not about those 2 posts, it's about at least 60% of posts that occur on this forum when we don't win, and it's been making me sick for quite a while. While it is completely fine to give harsh criticism to a player, most of posts that do that are not argumented and you waste your team reading them. And usually when people are sarcastic, posts are writen is such a way an averagely intelligent person can know almost for sure it's sarcasm, rather then guess. Usually you put a emoji to signalize that or write about something that is obviously not true, not something that can be taken both ways, and when people quote you, you defend it was sarcasm.
  19. Anyone perhaps noticed that Jose's plan was to throw bodies forward and go for crosses? Remy is a good player, but Falcao is more dangerous when you send crosses in, and I think that's not even debatable. Yes Remy would offer more on the wing, but Jose wanted another dangerous pressence in the box, and for that Falcao was a better pick then Remy in my book. To add to my post, I must remind members that he was one of our worse players in pre season considering how rusty he looked, while Falcao is still up and running because of Copa America and shorter pre season. Sometimes it seems to me there is like a trend to just throw support at Remy all the time no matter what is happening, and it's been going on for quite a while. And please, I'm not saying support he's been getting is not worth it because it is, but I noticed some members supporting him like he's the saviour of galaxy even though they don't seem to know why they support everything about him so much.
  20. It seems to me he's having some fitness problems. Reason for his better play when we were left with 10 men is mostly in adrenaline and sudden change of situation that shocks your mind. I expect Eden to find for in the next week or two and things should be fine. Brilliant posts truly. Sarcasm. jokes or whatever, you acomplish nothing with that, you make experience of other members here bad, and you send an awful image about Chelsea fans to the world.
  21. Come on guys, I understand the frustartion and similar, but there is no need for 1 sentence posts that nobody finds interesting like I miss Bosingwa, I miss Ferreira... Try to give some constructive criticism backed up with arguments, this used to be an incredible forum. I have to say though, Ivanovic and Willian probably cost us the game. Not directly, but their offensive and defensive work on the right side of the pitch was awful and on a really low level. Even teams in 2nd league can do decent one-twos and send in a cross. Ivanovic was left exposed to Montero all the time while it was evident he couldn't cope with him, while Willian spent more time standing in place with the ball then actually running with it. And also, Willian was the one who fucked up our offside trap after which Tibo got sent off. If Man City wasn't next, I'm fairly sure we would see Moses instead of Willian. I was hoping Jose would introduce Ramires or Moses eariler to either patch up defensive part of the game, or offensive one, but he loves WIllian way too much. Sure, because we are so well stocked with fullbacks and defenders especially, injuries are all that's needed. And don't give me I'm joking shit, even the letter i from injury can fuck up our season already.
  22. Welcome aboard mate, do your work well and a whip won't be required!
  23. You're probably right, but it brings a smile to my face to see Martinez angry because I find him very annoying Ultimately, it's down to winning titles, and in 5 years time, people will remember us winning title again with young prodigious defender Stones is and will probably forget the transfer saga regarding him anyway.
  24. It is not an scientific fact exactly, but it's a well known thing in human psychology. To motivate a group of people to accomplish a grand feat is difficult, but to motivate them to do it again can prove much more difficult. On top of that, humans are living emotional beings, not robots, and being under constant pressure is a very tiring situation for human brain, and you are under a lot of pressure when you're the champ. And to add to that, I do think you will agree with me that a team X will approach a game differently in some manner if the opposition is the champion rather then not? It's not about how differently will they approach it, but for the simple fact that they will approach it differently. Some will find more motivation to win, some will alter gameplan, some will prepare more for the game, and some will even get scared or more relaxed. Considering the quality of football and players in England, that usually manifests itself in a way that teams either get out there without pressure to face the champion and do well, because hey, it's the champ he's the best, or teams give those extra 10% and make your game a very long and painful one. If you add that slight change of difficulty against teams on your team who has lost its sharpness and edge (which I'm sure will not happen under Jose), then you can start leaking points. You start leaking points, boat starts to shake, media find you very attractive and send more winds rocking your boat, and you're in for a very messy, wet and long trip, and chances are you're not gonna arrive as the first one on your destination.
