It was reckless by Kompany, but red? Harsh.

I dont even think it was a foul. He came in hard but his studs were down and he got all the ball. He didn't help himself by being square on and when he slid his other leg came through but wasn't near wilshere. I can see an argument for it being a foul but it was never a red.

Getting the ball does not mean it's not a foul, that's a myth. The force that he went in with both feet makes it potentially very dangerous. But I agree, not a red, but probably a yellow.

Yeah i know, and thats how it has changed... It used to be that way and players like roy keane made a living doing that. And i don't think there was as much danger as suggested as before he touches the ball his feet are on the ground and stay there throughout the challenge and the second foot is behind the first... He makes it look worse with the little jump he does before going in for the tackle.
