Criminal negligence we did not go for Jesus. FFS.

And to really add in a kick to the cunt (boot to the jacobs for the lads here) we will likely end up with their bin-tossed Auba and pay 20, 30m for him

We did, but it was too late. Jesus's agent has confirmed we tried to hijack him: “Chelsea were one of the teams that tried to hijack the Arsenal move. They tried very hard in the final days to get him. By that point, we’d already chosen our new project."

Jesus, Sterling, and Mase pressing like maniacs would’ve been lethal.

I just want to hurry up and get into the super congested part of the season so these annoying Arse bastards fall away.

There needs to be a huge rule change in regards to promotion from the Championship to the EPL.

So sick of these yo yo sides like Bournemouth, Norwich, Fulham, Watford, etc gaming the system. They use the promotion and then the parachute money in one big scam cycle of endless back and forths.

I would institute a rule that if you are relegated in either of the first 2 seasons after promotion, you are banned from promotion for the next 3 seasons, and no more parachute money, or at least greatly reduce it.

Get some fresh faces up in the EPL and also force the yo yo teams to actually make an effort to stay up.

yeah but why did we not go early in then. just stupid. While i think jesus would not look anywhere this good with us, he would for sure make a difference. Against  weaker sides Arsenal will always be more comfortable than us with their electric attack and extra no.10 but vs the bigger sides they will all struggle. Jesus however has shown he can occasionally create goals on his own even in big games. That is why I think he would be a good fit. He is no Agüero in this regard but he is a team player. And that is what we need an attack. Someone who does the donkey work, presses, holds up the ball and yet can provide that spark when nothing else goes.

Probably better to have gone for him from the start rather then when it was too late..

The parachute payments should definitely be capped for teams like Norwich, who hardly spend a penny and look all but relegated after the first two matchdays.

Probably because Marina, Cech, and Buck left, also we wanted to get rid Lukaku first.

He also wanted the reassurance of being a guaranteed starter, which is something we couldn't give him.

Spurs at least look horrible to watch.

But not sure if that's saying much. During our title win under Conte we've also ground out lackluster 1-0 wins along the way, because of Costa's goal threat. This 1-0 win doesn't seem that different.

Arsenal on the other hand seem to be playing well. They've also been given an easy run of fixtures to begin with (unlike last season). The only problem for them is that they will have tougher fixtures when we reach the congested parts of the season. Will be interesting to see how they cope.

Top four is going to be hard earned for all if Arsenal and Spurs keep playing the way they are. I hope this is a false dawn.

It's interesting how when it's come to media/pundit predictions not many have placed us 4th...hopefully turn out wrong but majority have us us 5th.

Arsenal obviously will change but compared to last year look decent so far! Sense of direction and all

Why on earth couldn’t we guarantee that ? Literally don’t have a striker

I think that has a lot to do with the change of ownership and our transfer window was a mess at the beginning. If our players and staff are focused, we should be in the race for at least 2nd. This World Cup mid season is going to have an effect on someone. No idea who in the top six get injuries and a changed season, but it will take someone down.
