Ref doesn't matter if you score goals from the chances you create. Bad ref and the goals don't even need to be legit whistling.gif.

Bring it on I say, hope the team will go out there with passion and pride and fight for a result!

Tell that to the conspirators here!

Anyways, I share your view.

Now to comment on the game which i would like to see.

I would love to see if Carlo can do the same tactics of last year.

To go with a big midfield and one striker.

That being said, it will be interesting to see something like this:

Cech

Ivan, David Luiz, Terry, Cole

Ramires, Yossi, Essien, Lampard, Malouda

Drogba

This might trip up the opponent.

Other then that, the continuation of the 4-3-3 is what everyone expect.

Plus the way we played there last year. I mean the way we started the game - we were attacking from the very beginning, meaning we gave only little room to them to create something.

Yeah but we had Deco and Joe Cole.

We have no creative midfield right now, other then Yossi. And for a winger to replace Joe Cole....the best we can do is play Kalou....

The team is not as strong as last year!

Time for Benayoun to get a start i think, with Malouda and Kalou on th wings, and Drogba in the middle. No time for experimentations, we are going out there and aiming for three points and should play like we are going out there and looking set for the three points.

Mikel to play as well as he was superb against Tottenham.

Does Carlo have the balls to drop Lampard for this? He's goes virtually unnoticed, only time he influences a game is when he shoots.

I think that's a bit harsh mate. He has scored 13 goals this season, having sat out half of it with an injury. Our midfield has been superb last few matches and if our strikers start to deliver, we will win at Old Trafford. When Ramires came on for Essien (not saying Essien was bad) against Spurs then some of the counter attacks and slick ticka tacka passes reminded of Barcelona. No doubt in my mind we can win, regardless of who the referee is, we just have to rely on ourselves not on our opponents making mistakes/referee making mistakes for either side.

Hoping for a win but regardless of the result - this comeback has been superb and i have utmost respect for the players and ofc Carlo Ancelotti. I firmly believe that a win at OT should shut even the most anti-Ancelotti people up. Because there is a trend that when CA does well - nobody notices, but if he does bad - nobody forgets.

The reason i can see us winning is because they have to play with Schalke on Wednesday, they are bound to use atleast several key players who would also be used vs Chelsea. Last time something like this happened was vs man City, who had had a Europa League game some days ago and they completely faded after 60' - 70' mark, so I guess we can use that as our advantage.

Playing away from home can be a good and bad thing. Bad thing is that no proper support, but then again SB hasn't been the loudest in a while, plus homewalls not only give a boost but also add pressure.

Regarding Howard Webb, I mean we can't presume that every referee is there to get us but concentrate more on our own play and not hope for generous decisions (nor bad ones for that matter). Regardless of what many may think of him, i consider him a good referee and hopefully he will be fair and unbiased.

In the end of the day, we have got nothing to lose, up blues! :)

Banayoun offers more to the game then Lampard, imo. He has the creative spark that we need, especial if Carlo goes with both Didi and Nando up-front. Lampard shots normally equals goals, but his all-round game hasn't been 100% in the last couple of games.

It is a decision really based on what Carlo thinks is the best game plan and tactic, personally i would play the 4-2-3-1, dropping Lampard to the bench, or playing in a 1-1-3-1 kind of formation in the midfeild.

For me, Win, Looser, or Tie, it does not matter. Because I am proud and happy of this team, to be able to pick themselves up after such a horrendous season.

This talks a lot about the character of the player and Carlo.

Keep up the work Carlo.

Not sure if you guys saw this, but there is an article by the DailyMail, which correlates Chelsea return to form w/ Lamps return to form. For you people that don't like to read the stuff that Kalou is a Super-Sub or that Drogba needs to start, check this image out. IMHO it explains a lot:

BTW I found that Ha, I have found a concrete answer the Vitalfootball Chelsea board:

After mid April you need 15 yellows to receive a ban which is 3 matches.

Totally spot on.

And especially with Kalou being a super sub. Been saying it for some time now.

It is why it will be sad if he leaves this summer. But then again, let's face it the kid wants to be a starter, and he is not at that lvl. He is just a super sub. If he can take that role then stay. But if he wants to be a starter, i guess he can follow Arnesen to Hamburg.

Last, this tells why we have to find a successor to Lampard. If it's Josh, then he should start. If management wants him to take his time, then buy somebody in the summer. Like Pastore or such.

Lamps returned to form when Mikel returned on the field

Yeah our form also dip with Mikel. He was the creative midfield that was making good passes forward.

If Chelsea can work out with Mikel and Josh, then we won't need to buy a creative midfield...even though i would love to have Pastore. But yeah Mikel, Josh and also Yossi should be enough to hold us out.

Guess we really miss is wingers badly!
