Bir_CFC 3,455
Like I said, the only reason why he hasn't hand in the request is because he is due £3m bonus soon, if he hands it in, whether the move happen or not he would still lose that £3m so he is not rushing like in 2010-2011.Why would United sell him without a transfer request? He can wait till the last minute if he wants, he'll just end up staying at United in that case. They have no reason to sell him. He might sulk, but next summer is the world cup and before you know it he'll be back in the United team and working his ass off to make sure he's on form for the world cup. He also made it clear he want to play ST next season, not CM again. I wouldn't get too worry about the world cup if I was him when his competitors are the likes of Andy Carrol LOL and Welbecks who will never start in front of him for England while he is fit(not for a long time anyway). The only real competitor he got atm is Sturridge and if Suarez stays, I am not sure Sturridge would get to play in his fav position all the time. bluesman2610 1,430
If he is coming I don't see it happening until after United game.. We should lock the thread until then or until official transfer request from rooney is handed in. We keep seeing the same chelsea to rebuff offer, moyes saying not for sale then some new chelsea player talking him up..
Special Juan 28,760
Just seen Jose's interview on SSN and he says its important to bring in players before deadline day etc.Wonder if the 'the players' is a reference in general or could mean us fetching in more than one.Wait and see. HNKS 508
what about the prospect of bringing in Alexis Sanchez of FCB...though its off topic....He is terrible. Plus his play acting when Terry got sent off. We dont need his kind. He suits Barca perfectly.

Pizy 19,276
As each day passes my frustration grows. The longer this goes without Rooney handing in a transfer request the more its looking like he's staying and that all he's wanted this whole time is more cash from United. If by the end of the week he hasn't asked for a transfer formally I wish we'd just bid for Suarez. Jose himself just stressed the importance of preseason for a player, so we can't piss about and wait.

Pizy 19,276
Dont worry , Torres is back this week Don't remind me. And you know he's the most popular player when we go on tour, so when the club sees the fangirls going crazy about him they'll be even more reluctant to sell. Already hard enough to stomach seeing Torres as the featured player on all of our adverts.
Eggman 118
everyone knows that Mou's Rooney business is psychological warfare at its best, right? Win/win: if he signs, we have strengthened our squad and hurt Menure's; if he doesn't, we have created a bizarre climate in a title rival's dressing room - which their new coach has to handle with absolute care... ulsterchelsea 3,221
Its alright saying if we dont get Roo we will have hurt Utd anyway but we are not strong enough up front for this season. If he doesnt come in and we get no one else it'll be my one concern
Vybz Kartel 1,613
Im sceptical abt him to say the least, but surely he cant be worse than Torres or Shevchenko??? Think we have a strong squad which justs needs a ball playing DM or CM if only Josh was fully developed he would have been an internal solution

I did not say he got Terry sent off, I said I didnt like him because he was play acting WHEN Terry got sent off. I dont rate him, all he has is pace and he dives like an Olympian. Sidzeret 2,257
Idk why we are waiting for that £30m bid and getting this over with. Even if we sign him on deadline day, that doesn't give us much time to sell Ba or Torres. It'll be a huge mistake to offload one of our strikers before we actually sign Roo.
