Torres, Ba, Lukaku and Schurrle.

Like I've said, we're lucky Lukaku loves this club because if he had any sense he'd put in a transfer request and find a club where the people in charge had enough faith in their support to give youth a chance.

But no, we need immediate success. We want it now and if we don't get it we'll hold our breath and stomp our feet....

Lukaku has just been told by Mourinho he is getting a chance next season and Jose has got a track record of rotating his forwards well. Lukaku will get 20-30 appearances maybe more depending on how far we go in competition's.

There's a difference between giving a player a chance and staking our entire hopes on a 20 year old, pressure like that so young can set players back.

So can a £50 million price tag.

I have faith in Lukaku's character. He's got more than 20 international caps and almost 150 first-team appearances.

Let's get out of this frame of mind that a striker is the be all and end all of our chances. It's a team game and we won the league in 2005 and 2006 with a main striker who scored FIVE less goals than Lukaku managed last season. Getting Cavani doesn't guarantee us the league. In fact I'd say the midfield and defence are far more important.

Because our 04-06 team was a freak, it was one of the most complete (and dare i say best) teams off all time. Since Jose's departure the first time we have only won the league once, and coincidentally that was when our forward was firing.

Say we had Falcao or Cavani last season we would have probably been comfortably in 2nd if not challenging United despite our inbalance issue's.

I take the point about the price tag pressure, but wouldn't two forwards hungry under pressure for different reason's help rather than hinder?

Napoli president:"If someone like Real, Barcelona and Bayern will be interested in Cavani, it is human to feel the interest for that

"

So according to him, no one is intrested but City, who dont want to pay the money. I think its BS. Lets wait and see...

So rather than building a new 'freak' team, we should just ignore the imbalance and stick an expensive striker in.

Like I said, success at all costs. Fuck it, let's just park the bus all season because that's how we won the CL. Why bother taking a chance on young players when they might not be good enough straight away. Who can be bothered to pay and turn up to see that shit?

Building a new "freak" team would cost millions and even then we won't be as good as 04-05.

We had the best keeper in the world, the 3 best CB's in the league if not Europe and the best holding midfielder of all time. Getting a team close to that agian would cost the best part of £200m.

Martinez also helped out Bayern by augmenting his wages to help them out - will Cavani's mummy and daddy let him do the same?

that was bs talking from munich. he didnt take any loss. they jsut wanted to take some pressure of martinez etc and label him as the boy who wanted to go to bayern etc. it aint like he said no to 20 millions of euros. its maybe maximum 1-2 millinos per season..who didnt change anything at all.

A lot of wool pulling over eyes going on IMO, still a lot of things to happen in this saga, and it is a saga.

I'd love him here but I wouldn't be furious if he went elsewhere.

The more this go on the more that idiot president make himself look like a clown. Wouldn't it be funny if at the end of Confederation cup Cavani come out and said ''I have decided to leave and I have received offers from some of the biggest clubs in Europe, now I hope the president would allow me to leave at the right price'' then come the transfer rquest...
