Chelsea Make Official Approach to Sign Napoli Striker Edinson Cavani

Jose Mourinho, who is strongly tipped to return to Chelsea this summer, will almost certainly be looking to sign a prolific striker to help boost the club’s firepower

Rob beasley has said we are interested but cant afford him so we have pulled out.

As a Chelsea fan himself, he should know that we can afford him, not like our owner is a billionaire or anything. Richer than the Monaco owner infact and they seem to be spending silly amounts.....

Yeh can't afford him...

Napoli have offered him a wage increase to stay. Obviously they want to draw this out even more. I don't know how we can actually justify 50m pounds for him, as good as he is. Torres, Messi, Ronaldo, Bale, Kaka are all big shirt sellers. Don't know about Cavani.

Tancredi Palmeri @tancredipalmeri

The latest update on the Cavani saga has just been reported by Sky Italy. It's not really confirmed, but frankly it is quite unexpected

Napoli president offered to raise Cavani's wages from 4m to 7m € in order to keep Cavani, giving two weeks to Cavani to give a reply

Seems tactical from Napoli, to 'call' clubs finally to jump in with a bid for Cavani.2 weeks timing fit perfectly to City,Chelsea,PSG,Real..
