5-4. Just a great advert for Spanish football, as was the earlier Valencia vs Bilbao game. This was football at its best, it had it all, great players, great football, unbelievable drama and an astounding solo goal from the greatest player ever proving to be the winner. Terrific win, valuable 3 points and a great night of Spanish football overall.

Is it just me or is Messi starting to lose it a bit? He seems a lot more aggressive and irritable over the last few months. Screaming at teammates and opposition players, pushing opposition players when he is frustrated with them and just over things in that vain. The stress and expectations might just be getting to him now, and he may be burning out.

Apparently Real Madrid are going to try and sign Cicinho from Sevilla.

He's probably been the best right-back in La Liga this season.

He kept Ronaldo completely quiet a month or two ago when Sevilla and Real Madrid met.

He's described as being almost as good as Dani Alves going forward, and better than Sergio Ramos was at defending when he played at right back.

Not too shabby.

Half-way through Atletico Madrid - Sevilla.

Atletico winning 3-0.

Maybe this is the actual reason Falcao isn't playing in the Europa League this season? Maybe Atletico believe that they can actually challenge the top 2 for the title so want to keep him fresh? It's not impossible! (Oh and yes, Falcao scored...and assisted the other 2 I believe.)

This weekend at Levante Barca cantered to a 4-0 victory using only home-grown players for a large part of the game.

After Daniel Alves was replaced by Martin Montoya in the 14th minute the 11 Barcelona players on the pitch were Victor Valdes, Martin Montoya, Carles Puyol, Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba, Xavi, Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta, Pedro, Lionel Messi and Cesc Fabregas, all products of Barcelona's La Masia academy.... :wank2:

I wish we could do that... :blue scalf:

I've fallen in love with this league. There really is more to it than just Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Sure, it's just them fighting for the title usually, but wasn't the Premier League like that just not long ago? Us and United dominated the league.

Now Manchester City have emerged - while in La Liga teams like Malaga and Atletico Madrid are finally finding their potential.

This season I'm following the 2 teams mentioned above - Atletico Madrid and Malaga. Both are incredibly fun to watch.

Malaga have the more attractive football and individual brilliance while Atletico Madrid are like a fairytale so far this season with constant brilliance from Falcao and great teamwork.

Ugh. *Jizz*

Plus - Atletico Madrid have my favourite young midfielder in world football (Chelsea products aside) in their Oliver Torres. Mmm. Going to start following La Liga properly now.
