Atletico hold a comfortabel 2-0 lead over Real Madrid. Amazing how brilliant those teams tactics are. I wish our tactics were at least half as good. Their movement, their runs are create space where no defenders would expect it. Also they always close down the opponent with the ball with 2 players. This of course does require a lot of movement of the centre backs and in general the entire team.

Simeone is an unbelievable motivator and tactician. I'm surprised at how many people still don't consider him the best manager in the world.

Bale has been pretty terrible this season. And he's downright abysmal when there's little space.

Crazy to think how much Madrid spent on a counter attacking player. Hazard is the better player.

Despite losing Costa, Villa, Diego, P. Luis and Courtois they are beating RM 2-0, are equal on points with Barca in the league and just 1 point behind RM.. though Madrid have a game in hand. That Himinez is a teenager is just unbelievable, he is some defender at this stage. Simeone continues to impress and as you said i see them being semifinalist or possible finalist for the CL

The similarities are there, yeah. Isco is slower, less explosive, and not as effective on the flanks, tbh. Amazing player, in all respects.

i expect atm to get a win here. their scoring rate from set pieces is tremondous and barca's defending in set pieces in utter shit. shutting out iniesta and rakitic would be the most important thing though.

Same here. I think their defensive ability, ability to counter and also fantastic set pieces will be too much for Barca. They will outlast them.

My God, Neymar is such a joy to watch. I'm not even mad that he plays for Barca, players like him, Hazard and Ribery are those guys you just can't help but respect for having confidence when heading forward against defenders! Atletico currently being put to shame by a revamped Barca team.
