From Marca:

"Valencia will play against Chelsea on June 3 in New York" :D

I think the month in that date is wrong because the tournament starts the 27 July and ends 7 August. I suppose the date should be the 3rd of August?

So that means we'll be playing Inter, Valencia and AC Milan then?

Seriously, what's with us playing the Milan teams almost every year in pre-season?!

Could be a clause when we signed Carlo to a contract thinking he will last till now :D

Reports from America at the moment are:

Match 2: 30th July _ Chelsea-Inter in Indy

Match 3: 31st July _ Juventus-Everton in San Francisco

Match 4: 1st August _ Real Madrid-LA in Phoenix.

winners semi finals:

Winner of match 1 (Valencia/Milan) v Winner of match 2 (Chelsea/Inter)

Winner of match 3 (Juventus/Everton) v Winner of match 4 (Real Madrid/LA)

and then the winners of those play each other in the final. The losers play in a match for 3rd/4th place.

Losers semi finals:

Loser of match 1 (Valencia/Milan) v Loser of match 2 (Chelsea/Inter)

Loser of match 3 (Juventus/Everton) v Loser of match 4 (Real Madrid/LA)

And then the winners play each other in the 'losers' final and the losers play in a match for 7th/8th place

FIRST INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS CUP FIXTURE CONFIRMED
Posted on: Wed 29 May 2013

Chelsea's participation in the Guinness International Champions Cup in America will begin when we meet Inter at Indianapolis's Lucas Oil Stadium on August 1.

We announced our involvement in the summer tournament last weekend, and after the draw we now know we will visit Indianapolis for the first time, in an 8pm kick-off against our Italian opposition.

The eight teams are split into two groups, with AC Milan and Valencia the other teams on our East side of the draw, and Real Madrid, Juventus, LA Galaxy and Everton making up the West side.

On August 4, we will travel to the MetLife Stadium, home of the New York Giants, and the complex we used for training on the New York leg of our summer tour in 2012, to meet either AC Milan or Valencia.

All eight teams then descend on Miami, Florida, and the Sun Life Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins, for a two-day final festival. From August 6-7, four matches will be played where each first, second, third and fourth-placed team meet their corresponding opponents from the opposite group, with the finalists meeting at 9pm on Wednesday, August 7.
