Ramires

I thought Rambo was pretty immense against Le Arse myself. I feel some of us are still underrating him. His short passing was surprisingly good. Some misplaced passes, sure, but it looks like he can play possession football to an adequate enough level. Add in his incredible dogged determination, energy, willingness to tackle and harrass, bursting runs forward, deceptive strength and he should be a regular fixture in the central position.

Impressed with what i've seen from Ramires in the double pivot, the bad passing is expected, but his tackles and runs from the middle have been good in the past couple games.

Also, when we lost the ball several times yesterday, Ramires was quick enough to get back and protect our defence. There's not much more you can ask from him, i just hope he keeps it up.

Tbf speed and defensive ability is expected of Ramires. However, the double pivot has yet to be put under pressure while he's playing and that is mainly due to RDM playing the three maestros in front of it. I still don't believe he can survive there against teams that apply high pressure simple because he can't keep the ball.

It's up to RDM to choose wisely the games to use him in. He's definitely proved to be capable of playing there though, and won't have too much of a problem against most teams.

Totally agrred.

People also tend to compare his good performances with Brazil, but Brazil rarely defends. They play very foward and opositions play on counter-attacks.

His abalities to defend and keep posetion should be evaluated against big clubs (ManCity, Juve, RM, etc), not against clubs like Norwich, Southhampton, etc.

He did it against Arsenal.

He's a very good dribbler, if someone presses him a lot and lets him turn with the ball then they're asking for trouble. I agree that he's not an ideal player for the double pivot but we need at least one ball winner in that pivot he's the only one we have. Romeu is another one, but either Ramires or Romeu have to be one of the double pivot in all games imo.

That is true, but it was only one game (stil early to say he delivers on DM) and due to the circunstances (Diaby out, Arteta schooled by Oscar) it was the biggest of the tests for him.

The ball was out of the bounds after the cross and goes back into the field before arriving to ramires

No it did not. The replays showed he kept it well in. How they ruled that out I don't know. Should of gone to Specsavers
