That way the DM can win the ball, play Ramires through to make those incredible runs from deep. That way we'd still have the security of having Mikel marshal the back while Ramires is free to make those breakthrough runs. To keep him locked behind the centre-line would be an insult to his ability.

No-one is saying he should be solely a DM. Although he has so much energy he could harrass midfielders and also attack.
