Why we need a striker (i mean a big named one)? i agree with those who prefer a striker over Modric, but we dont NEED a striker when we have Torres and Sturridge. We need a striker only if there is an agreement in the club that Torres is not the one to lead us. Torres and Cavani probably wont work for Torres. Its a risk.

I worry about injuries and not totally convinced about Sturridge.

Board already said Torres will be our main striker. Getting top class stiker will put Torres on bench, while getting backup striker will limit Sturridge chances. That means we wont be buying striker, at least not until winter. Im sure that Torres can do well, we might dont look like team with good attack, compared to City or Utd, but if we buy good winger, powerful pivot, rb and once Oscar comes and our team catches

right chemistry, we will look much better. Rvp needs to be star man to actualy shine, the player everyone passes to him and is centre o attention to play well. He shown that last season with arsenal, once Nasri and Cesc left. Before he was third player and was more average. Same with Netherlands team. Along Sneijder and Robben, he just wasnt good. And at Utd, Im sure Rooney will be their star man. Im just shaking because they will sure buy good Mf, either Modric, Moutinho, Sahin or Sneijder.

That means we need to buy three more players; CM, RB and RW. Striker is not needed, sure we wont paying 30mio for Cavani or someone, while we will pay that in winter if Torree fails. Anyway there are still few PL games ti see how well Torres will do before market closes.

We don't need a high profile striker, but we only have 2 strikers in our whole squad, most other top teams have 5, so a backup striker is required... if something happens to torres, then we are incredibly thin up top...

yeah i would happy with someone like Dempsey or Berbatov coming in as 3rd choice striker.

I think it's pointless to assign a position to Mata, Hazard and Oscar. All three have experience playing different positions/roles and they should keep switching depending on the matchup. And of course, all three are better than our other options, so they should just play even if it's not their "natural" position

Back to Modric, I think he's the player we've needed - a world class player at one of double pivot positions

Mata is actually first and foremost a LW...I will repeat for the last time. Oscar is best centrally.

And we have seen that Mata's best position is central. No way is Mata moving to another position.
