Not really he is quite popular so over his contract we will make at least 20-30m back from shirt sale and marketing from his image right. Also for a A+ bracket player the rate is automatically 30-40m minimum let alone a player who is the most expensive in football history who just had a decent season. He hasn't been as good as the last 2 seasons but still a good season, double figure for goals and assists aI believe.

Also he has sorted out his injury problem now he would be great for us. But then Cuadrado will become Salah :P

The stories about players earning a huge parts of their fee back through shirt sales are false. Clubs only receive a small percentage for every shirt sold. Not to mention the fact that if you sell a lot of shirts of one certain player, other names sell less. There are only so many people that buy a Chelsea shirt, a big name does not add millions of people going to the store to buy a shirt with their name.

Players earn money for their clubs by helping the team win.

The first decision needs to be if we're going to buy a CAM/CM (to replace Oscar) or a RW (to replace Willian). We wont buy both in this summer and i dont think we should change the team too much, we're in a good season winning the league and the team's connected.

If we want a CAM, it means Oscar is on the bench/sold, and you got Pogba and Koke who can replace him. Willian wil continue at the Right Wing.

If we want a Winger, Oscar/Willian will continue in the CAM spot, and the options are less attractive maybe, but probably not super expensive. In my opinion - Fekir, Berhimi, Fermino, maybe Rues but probably not, Sterling(?).

My guess is that we'll first try Koke, if we cant get him than we'll try Pogba.

I think Koke will stay with Atletico, unless we make a ridiculous offer

What makes people think Bale will be sold? He'll undoubtedly be a Madrid player next season, he isn't a coward. He'll want to prove the critics wrong just as Benzema, Ronaldo and Modric did.

We need to be after Sterling instead.

Can Sterling track back? If not, I don't see how he fits into Mourinho's tactics

I used to think this was how it worked, but even signing Ronaldo, we will struggle to recoup that fee. We are probably making 35-45 million max on shirt sales for all our players combined in a season.

Also, you seem to be assuming he'll have the same impact he had in his last season at Spurs here at Chelsea. He'll have a positive impact, 15-20 goals and a different type of goal threat, but I don't believe he'll be scoring 25 + goals, which was something he managed in one season only. He won't be able to do what he likes like at Spurs, shoot as much as he likes and play a free role behind the striker, he won't be the main man and we won't be mostly reliant on him for goals. He'll have to chime in with his fair share of defensive work, which is something he's failed to do at Madrid.

That's why 75 mil pounds is a little to steep for him. 75 mil euros yes, but 75 million pounds. The only way I see that happening for us is if Man United are willing to pay that amount for him.

Not sure if serious...

???

Haha, that's one of the reasons I actually think we'll (Mourinho) be interested. He's even played wing back several times at Liverpool.

Sterling will probably hold out and run his contract all the way down and leave on a free as I doubt Liverpool will sell to a rival.

He'll end up at City who will be willing to pay him obscene wages because he'll be homegrown and they'll have a young, English media darling.

That would be interesting. Sterling on City, seems like a more logical player than KDB honestly.
