Welcome Mauricio Pochettino

If we performed the same in the last 5 games as we did through the season, nobody would say a word other than 'out'.

Few posts on X saying that Stewart and Winstanley will look for a manager, refuse to believe something isn't lined up, nobody would be that dim, Poch's body language and comments over the last few weeks told us he didn't want to be here and/or he didn't feel the backing of the ownership, summed up by his dinner with Todd, no Eghbali.

I wouldn’t be so sure.

They are a big part of what has gone wrong here. In terms of their influence and decision making on footballing decisions. I honestly think they should be following Poch out the door.

Surely got to be last chance saloon for them now. If they can't pick a manager that will deliver top 4 and work within the constraints of the club's model then surely they're finally gone.

I have little faith in the owners and the board sooo nothing would surprise me

Be Brighton bloke..and when they get their new one we'll have them eventually

Another Brighton bloke would tick the right box (yes-man).

Chelsea are looking for dynamic manager, several candidates are being discussed internally with owners and directors involved. Thomas Frank among names mentioned internally; also Kieran McKenna but still all open.

Seb Hoeneß, highly rated but fully focused on Stuttgart.

Completely disagree with McKenna, floating around that Chelsea want their own Xabi etc the difference is, and Jose put this brilliantly, that Xabi was always going to be a good coach. His father, he played for major teams, worked under every top elite manager.. when he speaks, you listen, he's been there, done it and won it. That's why I never agree with the McKennas of the world getting 'their shot' rightly or wrongly. If I were a player playing for Chelsea, would I listen to him if things start to go pear shaped? Not a chance. Conte shouting in my face? Id listen, not advocating for Conte, just an example.

Would replace them now and get an extremely competent sporting director in. Villa have one, Man City have one, Liverpool have one, Man United have one coming in.

We are effectively starting again with who will be trusted in the squad  - still too many who aren’t good enough to play here and too many positions we are lacking in - so we cannot afford to start behind the eight ball when it comes to our recruitment this season.

This co sporting directors of ours have spent over £700m which hasn’t really panned out in most cases and also allowed too much experience to leave far too easily. This alone should be enough to replace them.

Then throw in the Potter (also Boehly driven) experiment, sacking him with like 7 weeks to go in a season.

Now we’ve got this situation and their plan is Thomas Frank, Vincent Kompany, Keiran McKenna or someone who is managing Stuttgart? Last chance saloon is beyond past. Screams incompetence to me.

So, time for a downgrade again? Fuck me if the club will hire "exciting" manager after a miraculous campaign of bringing whatever fc from 4th to 3rd Croatian division as this is what I see a more realistic direction, than appointing an actual elite manager unfortunately.

BTW, it's not surprising yet still surprising. Doubt Poch was axed due to lack of performance, given all the bs talk from owners. So did he bail out due to no hope of scrapping "the vision" and getting some experienced players, meaning suffering continues or played the money card too hard?
