Naked Mole Rat 437
He's gash and not good enough anymore. What did he offer when he came on against Norwich? I was particularly disgusted when he took that shoot that went flying into the crowd. He was 30 metres out and he hit it with his right foot, he knows he isn't going to score and doesn't really care so he just boots it, cancelling out an attack in which we could of scored from. Terminator X pointed out once that he uses the media to influence people, and he was correct.http://soccernet.esp...oin-psg?cc=3436and there's many more but some reason my computer isn't letting me open them. That was just one incident. Aside from that, Malouda had a pretty good game against Norwich and worked especially well with Mata. If I'm not mistaken, he was the one who set up Mata with a really good chance in the second half and a couple other. Not that I'm trying to defend him or want him here any longer, but give him some credit. He can be a useful player at times.

termninja 5,290
He has actually surprised me when he played. Nothing spectacular, but he wasn't bad. I think it would be best to keep him until the end of the season and then make some radical changes.
cchuka 99
I agree he still has something to offer CFC. He provides good crosses and his hunger and determination to win his place back is more than evident. Its clear he isn't good enough to be in our starting XI, but can be an efficient sub akin to Kalou of previous seasons.
LDN Blue 7,903
The worst thing about Malouda is his wasted football-intelligence. If he was fractionally smarter in his decision making he'd make an important part of our squad. He'd give us a better shape, which in turn would allow for better tactics. He's a pure left-winger. He isn't like Mata where he's being played there because there's no-one else to, it's because he's actually a winger. If Malouda could come into the squad we could allow for Mata to stay in that free role, the one Lampard occupied for about 7-8years (and was very successful at it too). Malouda's smart, he knowns when to trackback but his biggest flaw is decision making. I don't know who told him it was okay, but the constant cutting inside, shooting from 20-30yards does not work at all! He's never scored when he's done that, and he never plans to. His selfishness have cost us many better opportunities. When Torres first arrived there was a sense of animosity from him as well, even if it weren't true, there was always some suspicion in his motives. Rubber bullets 1,183
The worst thing about Malouda has been his use of the media. I can't help feel he is using it to show that he is demanding the club lick is arse and give him a long year contract. Remember at the end of August where he outline this cute little plan where Chelsea will keep him until the 2014 world cup. Maing me think he just wants to stay for other reasons and not for Chelsea. Krypt 241
His a good backup but the money he is on , he shouldnt be a back up. replace him with a young hungry player to play back up to mata , on a quater of his wage. we dont need these older players making demands they think on there name alone should get them into the team. maybe 5 years ago but now not at all. Sheva. 5,373
He should play more in midfield, he's less shitty there.
Slam Dunk 1,442
Of course he's a good player to have on the bench. The problem is, at what point does having an experienced international on the bench negate the opportunity to have a young, talented player on the bench who has everything to prove? He should play more in midfield, he's less shitty there.Agreed, he's been much more effective in midfield for a long time now. The Big Drog 1,110
Hopefully we accept Fiorentina's incoming bid for him and he leaves before the end of the window. He is bad, so very bad. He did well during the double winning campaign, fair play to him but he offers virtually nothing on the left flank or in midfield, surely a club with our aspirations can do better than Florent Malouda. francozola 2,040
Definitely agree that he isn't that bad in midfield. I thought he did rather well on Saturday (as compared to the others) and sometimes he does make me think that he would be a decent substitute player to have. But then I think about all the things he's said to the media & how he's tried to manipulate the club into giving him a new contract, his 50-yard shots that go into orbit, his brainless decisions, his obvious discrimination against Torres, his selfish attitude in general, and the amount of wages he's on paralleled with the effort he puts in...... thanks for the memories but it's time for you to go, Flo Mo. bluephoenix and Melanicus
Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
LOVED the guy did great in our double winnin campaign, agrueably the best player in that season. But it's time to go. Carlo ran your legs deep into the ground and your performances suffered, but hey, that's life, find a new club that'll help you get a call to the euros. We need to move on in a new direction younger faster and surely more skillful and you dont fit that bill. Gota go.
Wilson 358
He's simply not getting enough playing time. He was good against Pompey. Don't get me wrong though, I'd always start Mata over him. I think it's good to rest Mata a bit though, because he plays all the time as tires a lot. I don't care what anyone says, I am still a fan of Malouda. Kez 2,727
He's 31, how much longer do you want Chelsea to be a retirement home for players that are past it? His attitude stinks, he runs around like a headless chicken, and quite frankly his time with chelsea is done. We've got as much out of Malouda as we ever will, one world class season and another i'd say 1 or 2 decent seasons at most. Time for him to go & for a younger, hungry player to come in. Selling Jose' players is the first step to AVB making his own team & bringing in players that actually want to play for him. EskWeston 696
To me when he has played this season he has looked like a player with his mind already elsewhere, obviously we have no other back up for the wings, but if the oppertunity to sign a new winger and move Malouda on came about i would grab it with both hands.
