What would happen to Potter these days under Abramovich

Wouldn't matter, like most have stated he would never of been hired.

He wouldn't make the mistake of hiring him in the first place.

For me Villas-Boas was different because he had won trophies at Porto. Potter has won nothing of note. Maybe a few Swede titles in lower divisions thats about it.

Chelsea owners continue to back Potter but there is now growing concern that the next two games will be make or break for him. It's not just the owners faith that is being tested either.

Law posting anything that has a shadow of doubt over english manager means the situation must really, really, really serious and that's a great news.

How many of those 35,000 will be lining Boehly's pockets (therefore effectively paying Potter's wages) in 5 days time?

If fans really want a manager change than the strongest message that could be sent is a half empty Stamford Bridge.

Impossible to say how many of the nearly (40 000 now) attend games -possibly 5% ? That was a last resort at Old Trafford -didnt really accomplish anything. The problem with SB is its many day trippers, package buyers and corporates-would they boycott ? Rhetorical. Hope youve signed it Tomo.

Not sure I agree with that, Dortmund isn't even sold out yet and the game is next week. If as much as a quarter of the regulars voted with their feet there's not a cat in hells chance we sell out even factoring in the tourist/day trippers.

Look at Arsenal fans for example, years and years they moaned about Wenger and protested to get him out to no avail, it wasn't until The Emirates was half empty they finally got their wish. Liverpool fans got Roy out using the same tactics.

There's only one language billionaire owners care about and that's cash. It's not just the loss of matchday income (plus refreshement, megastore earnings etc) that will scare them shitless, the brand damage it would cause would force their hand pretty quickly.

Can we bring some cfc women players into the first team - Kerr and James...Oh never mind Potter would transform them into shit players after playing couple of games...

If we're going down that route, might as well bring in Emma Hayes as coach

Thats true to an extent - though CL tickets even under Mourinhos successful period were sold off cheaply sometimes hours before kick off, advertised in the Evening Standard.

Attendances at the new Library have always been iffy. Wenger went because Kroenke (probably similarly to Boehly/Clearlake), was content for CL participation every year as long as revenue poured in, and then the lack of trophies with the Arsenal brand getting trashed. The Ozil/Sanchez debacle was the icing on the cake. That does sound uncannily the same as what we have at the moment with players.

I think with moneymen selling a product, the brand getting trashed is what they fear most. Once that starts...

With all respect to her and what she's doing, the jump from women's league even at elite level to PL is bigger than non league to PL.

I'm sorry and it may not be what some want to hear but it is.

Bets on our players not showing up just to get Potter sacked.

The players who want him gone now have a proper timeline... just do whatever you are not doing for another 2 matches.

Don't get me wrong, I don't understand why a fucking nobody like Potter got the job in the first place, but it's clear as day for me that the players don't want to play for him.

You for starters 😉

🤣but then after..mind you the things that end up in Parliment prob crap anyway so this means more haha.

I hope they see sense. He's a nice guy and sure somewhere else would suit him fine but it's too big a job and always was a risk..and a odd choice.

Yeah, wonder who is leaking the "make or break" thing, as it's quite obvious, that - if it actually has source inside the club - boys will do the right thing. May as well let him go now, instead of wasting another two games.

This Chelsea team cannot score a goal even if they enter the pitch with a court order.
Why ?
We really must try to pinpoint why, as the manager apparently can't.

I can think of only four players who could readily solve this problem:

- Mbappe
- Vinicious
- Messi, four years younger if you like
- Eden Hazard, partly, also four years younger

Never mind those players are beyond the scope of Chelsea to buy them, I 'm just saying if.
I don't mention players of past generations because football was different, easier for the attackers.
About Haaland I 'm expressing some doubts if he could n't find the free spaces he finds with City.

With the above even Potter would have no problem to get results.
But are the various players we have now so decidedly inferior, all of them ?
This can't be.

My opinion is the movement of the ball is to blame (the lack of) and Potter seems unable to improve the work rate of the team.
What do you think ?
