£35.2m is not that bad

Clubs also pay agents for contract renewals, so they are also included in the number of transactions and total expenditure across the season

The Blues paid agents for 69 transactions - including seven incomings and 23 outgoings

This shit still needs to be regulated. Agents are contributing fuck all and yet the selected few that broker most deals are almost as well paid as the players. It is a disgrace. In any other business middle men are regulated and have clear and transparent fee structures. Like any market, the transfer market would grealy profit from the absence of friction. Fifa/uefa or whatever authority need to impose rules here asap. But I guess they are too fixated on their own share of the spoils to care.

Why would Conte leave? Because they might change owners? I’ll believe it when it happens, people said he would leave last season and didnt. What manager would be stupid enough to leave after winning a league title? Or what new owners would be stupid enough to change managers after winning a league title?

Am just saying what has been reported.

Who knows what could happen if Inter's financial situations worsens? If they have to sell players to balance the books, then do you think Conte will just be happy to sit around, seeing players being sold and potentially not being able to buy anyone?

I think like all media reports the financial situation is being severely over exaggerated. Its almost as if Inter will never manage to get an influx of cash or new owners.

Without COVID and when they get fans back in (I think at somepoint next season most teams in most leagues will have them back in), it wont be a huge issue. I understand theres things to do with Lukaku and Hakimi transfer fees and obviously Suning on their business side as a whole having huge losses, closing their Chinese team etc but Inter Milan is a massive institution and historical club, there will be someone who invests in them one way or another.

I wouldn’t expect multiple sales or even a change of manager etc if they get new owners and are slightly restricted in the market, I dont think Conte is stupid enough to jack it because of due to the club being in debt they need to reign in their budget, in fact I dont think any managers stupid enough. Cant even bring the comparison in from his time at Juve because 1) wasnt a pandemic and 2) they weren’t in debt.

Obviously any new owners will have to clear the debt somehow so thats going to be interesting. Maybe one sale might contribute to the bulk of it (Martinez €100m+ release clause IIRC or okay maybe Lukaku but again I think Lukaku is the least likely player they’d move - although their heavily linked to Sergio Aguero on a free).

Its the same with Barcelona, they are in a similar position but again, wouldn’t expect them to go mad selling everyone who is likely to get them money/lower financial running costs, particularly if they will struggle to invest. Just look how badly they regret moving Suarez and Rakitic.

Lukaku is a great finisher but with an atrocious touch, safe to say with him here and Werner combined we can say goodbye to any titles, we need a player who actually knows how to control a ball not another poor technical player to add.

Very harsh. 2020-21 Lukaku has improved with his touch. He actually does so much for this Inter team and any manager would take him now. He's 28 but seems to have taken care of his body, is in great shape physically.

Lukaku may be great for Inter but what is level of that league now? No teams left in CL. Lukaku himself blocked winning shot from Sanchez that stopped Inter progressing from the group stage against Ukrainian side in the last round.

Anyone who plays football knows that this happens to good and bad players

Serie A is so down in quality

look at the top CB's (on T-Markt, by value)

3 of the top 4 are on INTER, so Lukaku only faces then in training

de Ligt is overrated

the best 2 are Bastoni (Inter) and KK

after the top 5, none are rated over £27m, and you are already at only £9m by the 23rd place

no wonder Tomori sticks out

Matthijs de Ligt
Milan Skriniar
Alessandro Bastoni
Stefan de Vrij
Kalidou Koulibaly

Gianluca Mancini
Alessio Romagnoli
Merih Demiral
Konstantinos Manolas
Nikola Milenkovic
Marash Kumbulla
Cristian Romero
Berat Djimsiti
Luiz Felipe
Fikayo Tomori
Roger Ibañez
Takehiro Tomiyasu
Rafael Tolói
Chris Smalling
Francesco Acerbi

only half a billion or so (less than a new Roman ultra yacht)

How is Real going to pay for Mbappe? This summer he is coming to the last year of contract. Looks like he does not want to renew and PSG would not let him go for free.
