a midfielder with a bit of creativity would do us nicely. no wonder we are always playing from side to side and then cross as there is no one able to thread through passes in the centre. Even Ziyech's return will not solve that. Havertz, Mount, kovacic, all not very creative.

Havertz is creative, but only in the last third of the pitch, which he currently is not showing and I am also not sure if he really is a no. 8. Think he is more of a no. 10 or false 9.

We have three creative players in our youth. We actually don't need to buy for instance Aouar. Billy is much more creative than Mount and Kova, Bate is also more creative than our three midfielders and Anjorin is also creative in the last third of the pitch, just like Kai.

There is a reason why we score 3 to six 6 goals almost every youth match I watch. Clinical strikers, great crosses from Livramento, great passes from Anjorin and Bate. We currently have a new golden generation. Our last golden generation was Boga, Musonda, Ruben era.

Can we go get a fucking Fabregas type midfielder next month or in the summer? Fucking done with all this BS of us passing sideways and backwards. :middlefinger:
We will get Declan Rice instead. Once in a while, he makes some decent passes [emoji849]

Does anyone even know what is Havertz's best role/position? :carlo:

Lampard told to sign this Bundesliga star to get the best out of misfiring Chelsea ace

https://astamfordbridgetoofar.com/2020/12/31/chelsea-told-to-sign-yussuf-poulsen-to-get-the-best-out-of-timo-werner/

Yussuf Poulsen can get the best out of Chelsea striker Timo Werner, says Tony Cascarino.

Talking to TalkSport (h/t Express), former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino pointed towards Yussuf Poulsen as the man who would get the best out of misfiring Chelsea striker Timo Werner.

Chelsea brought in a host of new players in the summer. Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, and Kai Havertz all had a bright start to the season.

Chelsea were propelled to the top of the Premier League table after a 14-game unbeaten run. However, things are looking alright now at Stamford Bridge.

Frank Lampard’s men have won just one out of their last 5 league games as they were held to a draw against Aston Villa this week. Timo Werner, in particular, has looked off the pace in this bleak stint for the club.

The German striker has not scored in his last 11 games for Chelsea. While Lampard has shuffled him around to find his best position, Cascarino believes the solution lies elsewhere. (h/t Express)

Likening Timo Werner to Michael Owen of Liverpool, the former Blues forward says he needs someone who can hold the ball for him, much like Emile Heskey used to do for Owen at Anfield.

To this end, Cascarino points to Yussuf Poulsen of RB Leipzig, a striker with whom Werner spent four seasons in Bundesliga, as the man to make Werner ‘thrive‘.

“…when he was at Leipzig he played alongside Poulsen who is a big centre-forward. And he played off the left of him and thrived.”
