Who's paying that sort of fee? Also Nkunku is only linked to Bayern Munich and they haven't bid yet. 😆

They really needed a quality LW and ST to close the gap on Liverpool. Never rated Jorginho. Hate that type of sideways and backwards play

Assuming that this means increases to their basic pay, and not just bigger bonuses, £197.5k shouldn't be out of reach. Certainly it's within a range where any shortfall the club would enforce to protect the wage structure could be negotiated away with a marginally increased signing bonus. The bigger issue with Rodrygo seems more likely to be persuading him to join rather than paying him. P.S. Let's hope that Sterling isn't due for a pay rise too owing to CL participation. 🙁 Edited July 12 by OhForAGreavsie Vesper

I will be very surprise if NJ leaves the club Nico - without the pressure of being the main forward - is an asset. Except for finishing being a letdown in some phases last season, he was doing all the other work needed of a striker. It isn't the case. If he fixes the 1%ers in his game, he becomes a great player. He is a very damaging player for the most part in the middle of the field. A few shooting and positioning fixes and he becomes lethal. Reddish-Blue, The Rising Sun and Blue Armour 1 1

You either have natural finishing ability or it takes a number of seasons to get better at it. Jackson has upside to his game but would he be starting for our top 4 rivals? I'm really interested to see how this Jackson/Delap scenario works out as both of them will want to be the #1 striking option and we don't really play with a front 2.
