nyikolajevics 2,713
Might be alone but I am kind of happy how the club ran the Maignan and Gitten deals. Their clubs wanted to rip us off badly, think we did the right thing pulling off. They are good players but none of them are must haves, at least not before middle of June. They are both reported to be disappointed and requested to leave, our negotiation position might be better in a few weeks. Thor

Shit like this will have players regretting making the switch before even playing the game. The same people who probably have told the Brazilian lad he will play as a number 10 here when we have Cole Palmer also or that several of the other 500 youngsters we’ve bought will play in the squad as soon as possible. BlueCo have basically recreated the Roman model of stockpiling youth but now we cannot loan as many and have to do dodgy deals between ourselves and Strasborg which will be heavily scrutinised 😂 46 minutes ago, DDA said: I’m beyond furious with how this club is being ran… the Petrovic news has tipped me over the edge. Then to rub it in, there are genuinely fans backing the unforgivable decisions being made at this club. My blood is boiling. Surely I can’t be the only one. Petrovic is another poor run of the mill mid table GK though? Not sure what he would really bring to the table that we don’t already have, just more inconsistent performances and shakiness playing out. Showed the same under Poch. Unfortunately due to the GK’s we have, Sanchez is probably seen at the club as the best out of them all. Petrovic will be sold - as he should. But it is exactly the same for either or both of Jorgensen and Sanchez. The reluctance to close that deal with AC Milan over the sake of say 5 mil is ridiculously stupid though. When was the last time a top leading nation GK would’ve moved for a fee like that? Its relevantly low cost. 30 minutes ago, nyikolajevics said: Might be alone but I am kind of happy how the club ran the Maignan and Gitten deals. Don’t think we need another youngster at all in those attacking positions anyway but different matter. Not sure where anyone gets the opinion Milan were ripping us off by asking for what is reported to be around £15-20m for France’s number 1 GK, who is maybe 29 or 30. We have absolutely made an arse of that deal and cannot believe folk are even denying it. Penny pinching at the highest order offering between £8 to 12.5m for him. Talking peanuts in modern day transfers for fuck sake. But because of the players age, contract and likelihood theres no resale value we have tried to cheap them out. Thats the only way we should be looking at it. People would say £20m its a good deal. So the logic is moronic. If he was 21 and had a 7 year contract we’d probably offer them £125m. Pizy 18,996
Signing dozens of young players whilst we had also been signing loads of first team players that blocked their pathway was always going to bite us in the ass at some point and piss some of them off. That time is apparently now. Paez, Petrovic, who knows who else probably all were under the impression that they’d get a look in this summer to prove themselves worthy of staying. Just because a deal is a few mil away, doesn't mean we have to be the ones to come up and meet it. Especially when everything being reported is - this is the number that should get it done - then we reach it, and then its higher all of a sudden. Nah - good on us for not folding. Maignan and Gittens aren't some worldly level talent that takes us over the edge. There are plenty of other players out there. People can slate Sanchez all they want, he was excellent the stretch to finish the season. Is he my preferred keeper going forward? Not a chance. But to deny he kept us in games at times is denying reality. I know what I watched.

Are we just going to casually forget he had the most unforced errors in the league… wasn’t it something in the region of 14!!! Are we going to casually forget his constant flapping at corners when trying to claim the ball, his ridiculous decision making with the ball at his feet, his weird sprints out of the box to be caught in no mans land??? He was Brightons 3rd choice GK before we got him for a reason. Petrovic improved massively at Strasbourg and yea, it could have been a one off season but I’m far more prepared to give him a go than watch that absolute fraud of a GK Sanchez get another season in a Chelsea shirt. Vesper 30,320
Zero clue why we are fucking about with GKer when, as soon as we cocked up (for 2 straight years!!) Mamardashvil and lost him to Pool (FFS!!) there was one clear target left who checks every box... Lucas Chevalier. And we have a good relationship with Lille. BUY HIM FFS!!! If we do not buy a keeper, I predict doom, unless Penders goes full Donnarumma as a teen. Strike

Special Juan 28,205
Man City just nailing the short transfer window....Cherkhi, Reijnders and Ait Nouri, whether people think they are the right signings or not this is a statement of intent and getting players in this short window to get them bedded in ready to go come the season start. No hesitation, into the deals, finalise and move on nothing to see here.

Player was expecting to go to the Club World Cup last week and then have his future decided. #CFC have determined he is not part of their squad, with a Strasbourg loan anticipated. Paez understood to be disappointed as summer plans altered. (Ben Jacobs) Whilst it's very possible he isn't ready for PL and CL.would gain more from taking him than Nkunku when he mentally left the club about 9 months ago. Nero 1,878
Liverpool and ManCity have spent over 500 millions on new players and we don't even want to spend 20 million on a world-class goalkeeper. milka 3,399
City rebuild their squad about 2 transfer windows while we for 7 windows or almost 4 years still don't have world class GK , CB , ST , or Winger tells you what people run this club . Popular Post! Thor 2,748 Posted June 11 Popular Post! Share Posted June 11 Don't rate any of City's pickups. Cherki literally had 1 goal the season before in 33 games. You lot would be crying if we picked him up. Wfisheruk, kexik, Atomiswave and 3 others 4 1
Pizy 18,996
City have had the exact sort of surgically precise week we were sold on us having leading into the CWC. They had clearly identified all their targets some time ago and went out and got each one of them with little to no drama or drawn out sagas. Cherki, Reijnders, Ait Nori in the span of 1 week. Following them doing similar in January. Now their new team gets to gel and train together all summer and can hit the ground knowing exactly what Pep wants from them once the PL starts. Meanwhile, our club is penny pinching and gaslighting the fanbase. MikeDance

I don’t expect us or city to hit the ground running, we go deep in this club World Cup we have champions league next season premier league and all the cups, barely any break this season then on to the next, injury’s and tiredness are going to be a huge problem next season
