Pizy 18,952
Holy hell, the Leicester fans on their forum really, REALLY don’t want Casadei back. They’re all saying he was dogshit and completely out of his depth when he was there last season. OneMoSalah
KEVINAA 129
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall probably will become Chelsea captain by default for being older than most of the squad. 6 September 1998 - 25 years old. 6 September 2024 - he turns 26 Edited June 28, 2024 by KEVINAA bigbluewillie and Vesper 1

Thor 2,719
KDH is exactly the type of signing we need. Guys that can slot in and have a bit of experience. If it comes at the likes of Fofana and Casadei, all the better. They weren't ever going to make it here. They're adding decent "experience" signings. Guys who know how to steady ships. A good LW/SS and a starting calibre CB would be enough business IMO.

Before he arrived everyone had him shoehorned into their first 11s playing him as a CF…. Suppose doesn’t mean much but if this Guiu isn’t an actual CF and is another flexible attacking player who doesn’t particularly excel in one set position, who cares if he could play CF? Be another needless signing in that case. And KDH? Are people really seeing this as a good move? Fuck sake. He is much much much lower level than Gallagher. In all honesty, similar sort of signing to Steve Sidwell back in the day to me, pointless. But again people will get excited because he had a good season in the Championship, aged 26. We are in for an absolute horrendous season if this is the calibre of players we are going after. Cannot wait. KDH is an upgrade on him. KDH & top club don't go hand in hand. If this deal does actually happen, it's nothing more than a stop gap. I had hoped that would be a thing of the past. Pizy 18,952
Guess I’ll remain one of the few who think KDH is a good signing and a clear as day upgrade on Gallagher. Has the same work rate and tenacity that CG does but is miles better using the ball. For me he is very Kovacic-like in that he’s highly press resistant, an awesome carrier of the ball, and gets stuck in when needed. But unlike Kova, KDH has actually shown to be highly decisive in the final third. OneMoSalah and ChrissWTF 1

Honestly, someone like Gallagher is ok to have on the bench to wind down the clock after 85 minutes, but having him as a regular starter and even captain was highly embarrassing. KDH is english and has a weird name and plays for leicester so naturally he sounds mediocre and will be likened to drinkwater, I think he will be decent thougb Pizy
Mhsc 1,098
In the old days I would be quite against this signing, thinking it was just a manager being allowed to buy their mates. I do trust the talent ID of our current crop of scouts, more or less. I will give the guy a chance. It is not inspirational but could well be that he's a bit under-appreciated and could do well in a better team. He is not going to be worse than Gallagher imo. I also think him knowing the system well already will be a big help. YorkshireBlue

Being decisive in the final third in the championship isn’t much of a barometer. Last season was his careers highest goal return with 12 after scoring 2 & 3 goals in the 2 previous seasons whilst a PL player. Doesn’t bode well. There is no huge upward trend in his returns before that or even a pattern to indicate that last season, in a lower standard. Would take Gallagher all day long. Probably a PSR/FFP move - a stupid one at that - but nothing surprises me anymore.

So I’m not going to hold that against him in the same way I’ll acknowledge that he likely won’t be quite as prolific here as he was in the Championship.
