Lavia on second thought should be avoided, we should just get palhinha or Fiorentino luis for the double pivot.

Plus kudus and we will have done more than good.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Lavia a similar profile to Enzo and Santos, ie more of a deep-lying playmaker? We're looking for a partner for Enzo not a lesser version of him.

There is no scenario where this is redeemable now.

Caicedo, Mac Allister,  Szobo and now also TAA in his new role in midfield with Salah, Diaz, Jota, and Darwin in front of them. They’ve now got one HELL of a team.

We are nowhere near them now. Or City, Arse, and even United. Then there’s Newcastle and Villa to compete with.

Unless our club does something radical over the next few weeks we could be looking at a season only slightly better than the last one.
