Super tall yet very athletic and mobile DM who loves a crunching slide tackle. Pizy 18,985
I have a feeling this is our Caicedo alternative, guys. Or at least an insurance signing that we’ll keep here in addition to Caicedo. Mhsc
Popular Post! NikkiCFC 8,369 Posted July 29, 2023 Popular Post! Share Posted July 29, 2023 Chelsea fans: oh we have new scouting deportment it's their job to find new Caicedo, we should not overpay for him. Chelsea buys promising young DM. Chelsea fans: who the fuck is this guy, can't pronounce his name, over 20m for a player we should loan to Strasbourg, he is not ready 🤷♂️ Mhsc, Reddish-Blue, Hamilton and 11 others 6

NikkiCFC 8,369
Still have a trauma of last young French DM we bought from Ligue1 and he was playing CL semis. Mhsc
MoroccanBlue 5,385
Let's see that Carney, Casadei, Ugochukwu midfield 3 at Strasbourg.

Emerson and Zappacosta just backups, still sold for solid money, did not do any damage here. Barkley had his moments and was cheep but overall did not accomplish anything here. Drinky and Bakayoko absolutely horrendous buys. So yeah, overall of 9 players just 2 left some mark here.
ZAPHOD2319 4,823
Youth players are defined under FFP rules by the age, not if they are academy or first team players. The money spent on players defined as youth players does not count toward FFP. When they are sold for profit, it counts positively toward a club’s FFP calculation. The owners have said there is a separate budget for youth players. Buying all these 2004 born players is like printing free FFP credit for the future with no FFP counting against us. As soon as this is seen as Chelsea exploiting a loop hole, it will be screamed about in the press and they will start counting it when buying the kids. NikkiCFC 8,369
Was he Brighton target just like Kudus? Buy every player they are interested in and on August 31st offer 100m for Caicedo. They will sell or keep unhappy player for price tag they set. Show them who's the boss. enzoforever and Fernando 1
NikkiCFC 8,369
United close to Hojlund will go for Amrabat after. They look effective in deals. One by one but need 2 weeks to close the deal.
JDY 1,290
Onana vs Ugo when they were both 19 years old, in Ligue 1. You can definitely see that Ugochukwu is more of a 'project' signing. Edited July 29, 2023 by JDY Mhsc
lucio 5,418
Could have signed lavia for around the combined price of Carney and Ugo who both look mid
Mhsc 1,109
Well, he seems like a poor man's Onana to me based on the eye test and looking at the stats, and especially seems strange to me because when I look at our other signings they are always freakishly good in certain stats areas, showing some kind of clear approach to our data-led recruitment methodology, but when you look at Ugochukwu he doesn't excel at anything aside from perhaps aerial duels (almost 70% win rate). Feels like a pretty old fashioned case of some scout(s) simply liking him and feeling he has potential? Weird thing is he is not THAT cheap, so not clear there is any real upside to him in the future unless he undergoes a big transformation. Does have age on his side ofc. What I will say is that he does tick a lot of what I was talking about the other day in terms of being at least a basic option to partner Enzo who counteracts all of Enzo's weaknesses - tall, powerful, defensive responsibilities covered, dominant in the air - totally frees up Enzo, which is worth its weight in gold. I did NOT expect us to spend £20m+ sums for loan players. That’s the kind of money that small PL teams spend for their marquee signings! Someone already mentioned on this thread - we can't have Strasbourg signing and then sell to us later for cheap. UEFA would flag such deals. They've already looked into the Saint Maximin deal to Saudi to see if figures were conflated.
